5. Cousins

Something runs in that family. Franklin Pierce has been proposed as one of the worst presidents we ever had...just look at weasel bush. His couple of greats ago grandfather was Franklin Pierce (on his mother's side).

he DID have a pretty horrible start to his presidency, and a wife who was mentally ill even before the loss of thier only child.
If you didn't know, Mr.& Mrs Pierce were travelling on a train greeting the public after the election when thier son fell from the train, and his parents saw him decapitated before thier very eyes-
He should have stepped down- but he didn't.

I'm a native NHite, and our much maligned only president doesn't have to carry that distinctin any longer- Though, I'd rather FP have kept the 'honor' and have had Gore in office these last 6yrs.

One article says they are fourth cousins, four times removed which is hardly related at all. Many of us might be more closely related to our mates than that. So, as much as the possibility of * being inbred is a tasty scandal, I'm afraid we will have to look elsewhere.
