I see posts of people outraged saying that bush DOESN'T KNOW what human dignity means..


I beg to differ with that opinion..

Bush KNOWS exactly what human dignity is..

He just does not CARE about it..especially if it is not HIS perks,comforts, privileges or power to get what he wants is affected by it,personally.As long as Bush gets what he wants,he does not give a shit who gets hurt or shafted by his actions and the fantasies he acts out.

About others dignity or suffering or whatever? Lets be clear,Bush does not give a shit about ANY of it. Other people and their well being does not CONCERN him at all. He knows what evil is,He knows torture is wrong,he knows what war crimes are,(why would he be so careful to do it in secret and be so meticulous about warming up the public with the media to create a torture TOLERANT culture if he didn't know torture is totally WRONG? ) So HE KNOWS right from wrong.. he just does not CARE about right and wrong as long as he can GET AWAY with what he WANTS..

His torture camps,and abuses of power would all be out there for all to see if he didn't know to his bones what he does is dead WRONG. He KNOWS right from wrong and he does not CARE. That is the problem. Every sociopath KNOWS right from wrong clear as a bell.That is how they WORK THE SYSTEMS of law or relationship with glib charm to get what they want. THEY KNOW and they don't care.

The REAL problem with people with these defective personalities is they DO NOT CARE whom gets hurt when they take what they want hoping to get away with it..

Sociopaths are is chiefly characterized by something wrong with the person's conscience. They either don't have one, it's full of holes like Swiss cheese, or they are somehow able to completely neutralize or negate any sense of conscience or future time perspective. Sociopaths only care about fulfilling their own needs and desires - selfishness and egocentricity to the extreme. Everything and everybody else is mentally twisted around in their minds as objects to be used in fulfilling their own needs and desires. They often believe they are doing something good for society, or at least nothing that bad.

1. A sociopath is not to be pitied

REALITY: For a lot of people, it is easier to believe that an abuser is mentally ill than it is to accept that they know exactly what they are doing when they assault, or rape or torture their partner. Most people who abuse their partners are only violent to them, never to anyone else. Most abusers are able to function normally in society, in the workplace, in all their other contacts with people.


MYTH: "Those who abuse were abused themselves as children."

REALITY: There is no evidence that there is a 'cycle of violence', whereby children who were abused, or who witnessed abuse, go on to become abusers themselves. Many abusers come from families with no history of abuse. Many have brothers who are not abusive.
Children who witness abuse do not automatically grow up to be abusive towards their partners, many completely reject the use of abusive behaviour as a result of their experiences.

2. Your last paragraph, and your entire post, is IMO "spot-on"!

Re sociopaths and psychopaths, it's all about NO CONSCIENCE. That's why they are so dangerous and also so persistent even in the face of tragic results of their behavior.

I also think that one of the reasons * is recently showing his anger is not at all in defense of anything remotely resembling "right" or "good" or even defensible in the slightest. It's because he's being CALLED OUT on his hypocrisy, his shocking record of lies, and his evil, criminal acts!

Not just his administration, either, but HE HIMSELF, very PERSONALLY and DIRECTLY. He's being insulted, mocked, called on the carpet, commanded to own up to his wickedness and stop lying and deceiving the country and the world. * the man, * the pResident, * the self-absorbed egotist and remorseless psychopath who demonstrates daily that he is without a conscience, is being accused openly and loudly of wrongoing by outspoken free people who won't be cowed and who are willing to defy him and call him out even if it means risking their lives and livelihoods.

He's so g**damned pissed about this state of affairs that he's losing his temper on a regular basis these days and revealing yet more of the bad traits he has in abundance. He is petty, childish (I'm the Decider!), unwilling to admit he was wrong or even misguided; he's jealous, petulant, and profoundly frustrated. He's "losing it" because he's losing influence and respect -- and even some small bits of his power -- on a daily basis.

Considering how easy it was for him at first, especially just after 9/11, to get away with his destructive and damaging behavior, he just can't believe or at least can't accept that things have changed THIS MUCH in such a short span as the last year.

He's suffering from "reality shock," and he hates it with every passing minute that it gets more definitive and overwhelming.

To the degree that he can even imagine the "future shock" he's in for yet, he's probably feeling at least a little bit of the horror and near-panic most of US have been feeling with respect to him and his cronies in crime for a long time now. He may still think he's never going to have to answer for his crimes in any way; but even from within his bubble he cannot ignore how people here and everywhere are turning their backs to him, even turning ON HIM, and wanting him to change or get out of our lives, preferably the latter, and real soon, if he knows what's good for him.

As you made clear, it's "what's good for HIM" that concerns him, after all -- not what's good for anyone else. I'm curious about what he ultimately decides to do when his current tactics, the old ones that worked before but aren't working now, prove to be conclusively useless and a waste of his "valuable pResidential time."

Even other selfish psychopaths don't like a selfish psychopath -- especially one who has power over them!

Bizarre times these are in our country; but I'm very interested to see where things go from here....

3. He may know it is against the rules

but rules do not apply to heroes. In his mind, he's a Dirty Harry who breaks the rules, and the skulls of the bad guys, in order to save the world, even the squishy liberals who do not have the stomach to do what must be done. That is the kind of situational ethics that most of us follow. Murder is wrong, killing is wrong. But if you kill somebody before they can go on a killing spree or engage in mass murder, then it is justified.

In that sense, we have long been conditioned for this - taught that 'the rules do not (or should not) apply to some people'. I might even buy that, if the infraction of the rules showed some positive results. Maybe that should be the question - where are the positive results?
