How long before this becomes a Repuke talking point?
A nutcase claiming to be a Democrat just called C-span, suggesting filling the Rio Grande with alligators as a way of stopping illegal immigrants.

7. Have you ever heard any of these alligator idea people ever
Edited on Mon Sep-18-06 08:38 AM by higher class
address the real reason our government wants illegals? The alligator solution people only see a foreigner driven assault and view all our problems as emanating from the illegals while our leaders in Washington welcome the illegals on behalf of their corporate friends and partners and have for decades - with the permission of the Mexican government.

Instead of figuring out who should be the target of their anger, they rely on the issue that drives them = bigotry towards foreigners. Even someone from another state is a target for bigotry.

Alligator solution people refuse to recognize that this regime fires up the duality to stay in power and our right wing corporate media foments it.

5. It wasn't even original
I received an email awhile back, wherein the author said, "Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, take the dirt and raise the levees in New Orleans and put the Florida alligators in the moat. Any other problems you would like for me to solve?"

At the time we had been seeing an increase in the number of Florida alligator attacks.

But you never know - certainly it characterizes how they think about this issue. Or don't think as the case may be.
