Will w have Iran's pres. Ahmadinejad arrested at the UN tomorrow? |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-18-06 09:48 AM by Philosoraptor
bush has already said he won't negotiate or speak with Iran's president Ahmadinejad, and tomorrow they will both be in the same building. Will he allow this despot dictator who threatens the world with weapons of mass destruction to simply walk away a free man?
Wouldn't that be sort of like allowing Osama or Saddam to escape? Isn't this the best time to capture and convict this madman?
Or will our fearless leader hide from Iran's president when they see one another in the hall?:sarcasm:

3. Following you 'will he allow this despot dictator etc' logic, |
|
is bush** gonna have himself arrested as well?
He may want to arrest the guy, he may well think he's the new world order's answer to Wyatt Earp, but I doubt very much he's stupid enough to have the guy arrested. That would set a precedent that he really doesn't want to deal with. Someone just might snatch his pitifully ignorant ass and throw him in a foreign slammer the next time he leave the country.

It would be too much to hope for that while he's at the UN someone would snatch him up for an extraordinary rendition flight to the Netherlands. His whole rogue administration needs to be tried for war crimes at The Hague.

It'll be the greatest showdown since Ronald Reagan used his six-shooter to gun down Gorbachev when he visted the UN.

12. All kidding aside, capturing Ahmadinejad would not be useful since he |
|
does not control the Iranian government. It would only damage our foreign relations, perhaps, beyond repair.
Then imagine all the Americans that would be kidnapped around the world.

13. Heres hoping Ahmadinejad and Bush cross paths tomorrow.... |
|
.... I mean what is Bush going to say? "I'm mad at you, and I am not going to talk to you!"
How childish for a Head of State to reject diplomacy out of hand, especially when Bush is making all the noise about an attack on Iran.
This is obviously coming from someone who never served in combat, or even finished his military commitment to the TANG.
Maybe Ahmadinejad will show up early, since he is scheduled to speak a couple of hours after Bush tomorrow.
