Did anyone else notice Matalin's "some husbands cheat" comment on MTP?
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 12:55 PM by tasteblind
It was bizarre...Here's the quote from the transcript:

"The American people reject guilt by association. Some priests are pedophiles, some journalists are plagiarists, some husbands cheat."

AND THEN SHE MOTIONED TOWARDS CARVILLE, and he sorta sunk in his seat.

Not sure whether this was a knock at him or the big dog, but it was totally bizarre.

She looked absolutely witch-like too...stringy hair, never smiled, strikingly just, well, shrill and mean.

Edit: In Carville's defense, Matalin makes a mean case for infidelity.

2. Maybe he was afraid she was wired?
Can't say as I blame him there. While I am no apologist for adulterers, sometimes there are valid reasons.

One might theorize things are not all warm and fuzzy in that household lately.

3. I don't blame him in the least
But I do question his humanity for marrying that witch. Is he a space lizard too?

4. I saw it, not that alarming to me-- A quick glance his way was all.
As for her appearance, it was the same as it always is and you described it. So...move along--nothing to see here.

6. I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed it.
Seemed like Carville was having some fun with the GWU Crossfire groupies.

11. Less makeup and parts of her face besides her upper lip might move.

7. Can you imagine Carville in divorce court?
"Your honor (gestures to Matelin), I mean, what were my options here?"

10. I'd rather fry my ears than watch either of them.
Both are vultures feeding on the ignorance of the people.

12. You mean, like
Kathie Lee Gifford's husband?

Like the first Mrs. Ronald Reagan's husband?

Like the first Mrs. Newt Gingrich's husband?

13. I know it's shallow, but I didn't catch that comment because I
was hung up wondering if she owned a comb.

14. I noticed that.- she seems like a typical right winger. Everything's
calculated. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a deliberate attempt at making her husband (Carville) look stupid.

If he did cheat on her, I can see why.
