From the mouth of a redneck right winger / Ann Richards |
|
This was sent from an email list owner on a yahoo group. Our group is unrelated to politics. Political discussion is strictly off limits. The list owner decided to post that he HATES Ann Richards, and made some foul quote by a religious leader that women should not be educated or allowed to hold jobs as his lead in to PROVE that he, himself is not biased against women. Sure, they can get an education and hold jobs. Isn't that noble. So, I did object to the double standard.
I'm posting this because I guess I've forgotten to what degree people can be deluded. I just don't go around them. It would be scary, but I guess I'm just speechless. btw, I avoided political statements. He may be reading another list I'm on, but his list was sanitized and I did not break the rule.
I am not interested in your political views. You are correct not only did your comments not make the list, I read three words and imediatly deleted it. If you had your way and elected your people we would be in fear everyday due to 911 attacks. You are safe and free due to efforts of our military and the fearless leadership we now have. You forget the hundreds of thousands Sadamm killed and tortured, and if the extremists have their way you would be one of them. You are mad because I will not let you spout your hatefull anti Bush sentiments, well tuff tooties. Let it go. Learn patience and tolarance for other beliefs. Have a good life. The wise man and woman stays silent. (name removed)

ranting for free speech and then saying no one has a right to it . mind boggling. I really do wonder what it must be like to live in a space between the ears that has zero rationality. But hope to never go there.

What this exchange doesn't reflect is this guy's wife is the sole provider. He doesn't work. So thank goodness for him that he "believes in" women working. I just never thought that in the 21st century there would be a question about women's right to work. We have been working for AGES!
