I Will Call Him * No More. |
|
From now on, I am taking Keith's lead and referring to him each time, every time, as Mr. Bush. It is so much more accurate. The * is to indicate that he was never truly elected and therefore is President by title only. Well fuck that. I like Keith's way better. He is no President, in title or otherwise. I hear it out of his mouth, and each time love it. Mr. Bush. There can be no greater disrespect in my opinion. So from here forward, I will refer to him simply as Mr. Bush. Fuck him.

It's perfect, and since he hates the name Jr., I'll call him Mr. Bush Jr.

8. Since I Rarely Know He Exists, That Obviously Has No Impact On Me. |
|
But I see Keith all the time and respect the hell out of his integrity. Hearing him say it with such wisdom and conviction behind it, and saying it right to everyone on tv, just totally gets me cheering each time. It just simply occurred to me that when I hear it, that it comes off even more disrespectful and puttin him in his place then * does. So I've decided from now on I will remove any connotation expressed that he is a President in any shape or form, and refer to him simply as Mr. Bush.

I have a bumper sticker from 2000 that says simply "Not my president!" He never has been and never will be. He occupies the people's house, but that is as close as he comes to filling the shoes of American leadership. He is simply George Bush when I'm feeling charitably respectful, and "that fuckwit" when I'm not.

|
Mr. is a respectful title. Better titles would be "Mass-murderer" or "C-student" or "Asshole"... ;)
Just imagine if the media adopted it:
"Mass-murderer Bush today sent more troops into Iraq."
"C-student Bush cuts more funding from his already underfunded 'Leave No Child Behind' program."
"Asshole Bush profits while senior citizens can no longer afford heating oil or medications."
See how nice it flows?

30. No, It's To Signify The Asterisk In The History Books From Him Being |
|
SELECTED by the supreme court. Since he didn't win the popular vote and in the end the count in Florida actually went to Gore, Mr.Bush was only sworn into the seat due to an unprecedented Supreme Court ruling. Therefore, the asterisk represents his having not won the election. Much like if someone breaks a sports record under different terms or rules, there may be an asterisk next to their name as well.

34. The legend is that Roger Maris's name in the record books |
|
after he hit 61 home runs in 1961 was always accompanied by an asterisk because the season in which he hit 61 was longer than the season in which Babe Ruth hit 60.
The listing would read:
Roger Maris - 61* Babe Ruth - 60
The implication was obvious: Maris didn't break the record. He had an unfair advantage.
That's how I've always read the asterisk for Bush. He earned the asterisk because he didn't win in a fair fight.

I'm quite sure he wants all the title and none of the responsibility. But, he took the crown, so he will be the one I hold accountable.
]So, from time to time, in between calling him everything else I can imagine, I will refer to him as president, just to hold him accountable to the office he's sworn to responsibility for.
