Apology not Accepted. Only Justice Accepted. |
|
Bush and those who enabled him owe us justice. We live under laws.
By rules of decency. Astonishingly, otherwise decent people called Republicans let this administration do this to this country. Bush, Cheney, Hastert, Santorum, DeLay and all those whose blind dimwitted support of "republicans" has had a worse effect on this country than anything, ever, has had in our history.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. To put political appointees, cronies, into positions of authority without regard to the impact they could have on the national security, pretige, honor and health of this country is nothing less than treasonous. It is a heinous crime that must be paid for by those who committed it.
Republicans save the really gross incompetence and negligence and bad judgement to harm and victimize our own people.. Why?
Republicans say they don't see it that way? Then maybe in honor of our great Democracy they should Stand Back. Stand Down. Step Aside. Abide by the Rule of Law and accept any punishment for crimes that have been committed.
This is not a partisan statement. It's an attempt by an American who cannot watch this fiasco, this nuclear quagmire, this orgy of crime and cronyism hurt more innocent people to say, "Wake up, Little Suzy." OUR Reputation is Shot.
Americans have been immeasureably harmed. Republicans have not protected us from the greed, indifference or ideological fervor that renders them dysfunctional. The responsibility of leading this country must be pried from their cold, dead hands.

1. Repubs - party of treason. They should all be arrested, tried, and |
|
sent to Gitmo. And a chunk of the Democratic Party too.

2. The shortcomings of Democrats are not criminal, with very, very few |

exceptions. I truly appreciate your disgust. Don't let the fetid stench of those Republicans who have used Americans as fodder and props for their ungodly agenda tarnish all Democrats. Gitmo, however, is somewhere no one should ever have been sent. It is a symbol of crimes against humanity, those committed by terrorists, and those committed by those who ordered inhumane and criminal acts against its' detainees. And what the hell ever happened to those who were killing people with Anthrax in the US? Have we given up on those terrorists as well as going after Bin Laden?
I'm old enough to remember when you could actually speak with a Republican (who had not yet chosen the moniker of Independent to hide behind their past support of Republicans) in a civil manner and actually debate an issue. It wasn't usually a disagreement about the need for a strong military that was treated with dignity and respect, it was about how to bring out and support the development of fine young people into leaders with character and courage. Now they just care about getting bodies into places to to make up for errors in judgment and leadership. It may be honorable and inspiring to see an American make the ultimate sacrifice for their country, but not for a lying President and his corrupt followers who care about money not lives. Now Republicans stretch themselves and their ethical foundations to justify the unjustifiable acts of their Party.
