What does that mean, the 'founding premise of our nation'?
Give me the opportunity to lead this nation, and I will lead.

And we need a leader to seize the opportunities of this new century: the new cures of medicine, the amazing technologies that will drive our economy and keep the peace. But our new economy must never forget the old, unfinished struggle for human dignity. And here we face a challenge to the very heart and founding premise of our nation.

What does that mean, 'outrages upon human dignity?' That's a statement that is wide open to interpretation.

1. Hehe. Looking back at 2000 from 2006
it's clear he was saying all the right things that would get him elected, or at least make the election close enough to steal. Shame he did the exact opposite.

2. The reason is he doesn't write his own words.
Anybody who was smart enough to write their own speeches and...say...have convictions and believe in stuff wouldn't make such mismatches of principle.
