I read this in LBN, but don't know for sure. If so this Thai coup is a huge development on the international scene. (Surprised I don't see any other posts about it!)

I think the coup there is interesting, because if it is against a rightwing government, that is somewhat unusual.

3. Three members of their electoral commission were just sent to jail |

for fraud in the last election. Apparentely they were involved in vote buying and falsification.
All opposition parties actually boycotted the last election considering it to be illegitimate, and the Supreme Court later agreed and nullified the results.

They need major reform in Thailand but it won't be possible as long as the military is allowed to meddle in politics.
