Help, I need some links!
One of my co-workers insists that Target and K-Mart are equally as guilty in terms of low wages and poor health benefits as WalMart. While I'm sure they don't come out at the top of any wage scale and there are places with better benefits, I have never heard anything that comes close to comparing with WalMart's taxpayer-subsidized health care (to the point that Maryland had to enact legislation to deal with it) or either of those two stores causing net job loss in areas where they open new stores. Can anyone help me with some links? I know about walmartwatch.com but need some stuff to back me up re: Target and K-Mart.

1. trying to find links that are to the point. but, ask your co-worker just
how often target has been sued for forcing people to work off the clock, locking the doors, employing illegals, etc., etc. just for starters. I don't like target, either (since they have caved in to the anti-choice bigots) but they are just slightly better than the scum that operate walmart.

2. Wal Mart low wage practices affect
every segment of our society.

Here is a link that might help. There was also a article, a couple of years ago, called "Wal-Marts America," that explained how WMart's low wages affect wages in every industry and in every city in the country.

3. Thanks!
I will definitely forward. I'm so tired of telling people that the couple of bucks they "save" at WalMart ends up costing everyone more in the long run.
