The full court press today, in attempts to justify spying on Americans
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 02:35 PM by kentuck
...has not been a success, in my opinion. The Bartlett fellow started early on all the morning TV shows. He convinced no one. Then the General, head of the NSA, gives a news conference which was a net negative for the White House, because the press actually did a good job and asked him some tough questions, which he refused to answer on one specific issue : "Did they spy on political opponents of the Bush Administration?" Then Bush goes to KSU in Manhattan, KS and bullshits for a couple of hours and nobody asks about spying?? Today has not been a successful day for the WH, imo..

1. It doesn't matter how "full the court" press is. The Bush spying
is illegal by every letter of the law, confirmed by Constitutional specialist all over the country.

6. Yes it has-watch the evening news
I guarantee you that the following words will be used to describe W's speech

Strong
Agressive
Offensive (meaning agressive)
"not backing down"
"defying his critics"

No one will pay any attention to General Fudd and Bartlett was just prepping the battlefield in his own pinheaded way.

Oh here is a link to the Bartlett appearance on NBC
