Bush: "Fetuses deserve more protection than persons with disabilities"
"These principles call us to defend the sick and the dying, persons with disabilities and birth defects, all who are weak and vulnerable, especially unborn children," the president said.

"ESPECIALLY unborn children"

There you have it. FUCK THE DISABLED, THE SICK AND THE DYING. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FETUSES"

1. I also note that disablities is in there with death and dying people.
I will say it again: Bush is a compassionless sociopath.

3. Pandering fuck
Utterly without a brain, nothing but a pandering, soulless fuck.

Just when I think I can't possibly despise him any more, I find new depths of my disgust.

4. My Son used to be a fetus, does that count?
Now they don't care if he lives or dies in Iraq... How can they value life just to deflate it as you get older and sicker?????

5. So if a disabled woman finds herself pregnant, and can't physically carry
a pregnancy, she has to die because the unborn are more important?

If an otherwise healthy woman becomes pregnant with an ectopic pregnancy, she has to die or face permant infertility because the unborn are more important, even if they can't survive once the host body has died?

Oh, better spy on all women so that any abortions can be prevented. Require monthly pregnancy tests. False positive tests will be prosecuted just as real positive tests if the woman fails to produce offspring.

6. What a fucking hypocrit
Bush and his asshole friends specially the fundies are! Yeah lets make godamn sure the fetus is born, but fuck the person once he/she is among us. My wife used to teach at a Catholic school, St. Patrick's in Tacoma, Washington and they used to allow the Right to Life to bring fetus' into the classroom.

They would go on and on about the sanctity of life, but wouldn't give a shit about a homeless person, hungary person one that is marginalized or was different than their upper, upper middle class sensibilities.

7. I was a civilian fetus, now I'm a disabled veteran
Should I try to reapply to the birth canal?

"Uh, Mom, I've got a request..."

I hate to say this, but I just wish Bush or his daughters were paralyzed from the neck down. Maybe then King George could muster some fucking sympathy.

28. Dude, it may be "ugly" to you, but it's life as usual for millions of
taxpaying Americans.

Many people (and I'm counting Bush and his family among them) have absolutely no sympathy or empathy unless they or someone they know suffers from a disability.

Blacks used to complain about riding at the back of the bus. Most buses can't even carry a disabled citizen.

Next time you're out, count the number of people you see enjoying life from a wheelchair. For every one you see, there are probably a few hundred that remain unseen.

Until Bush or someone in his family suffers a life-changing disability, it will be business as usual.

8. fetuses & the 2nd Amendment
That's how they convince their minions that they're the god and patriot party.

I wonder what our founding fathers would think if they knew their sacrifices had been whittled down to brandishing a gun in defense of glob of cells.

12. Don't forget gay marriage. Gay marriage destroys societies
Unlike war, poverty, pollution, and global warming which promote healthy families.

17. No, it's just fetuses and guns
They convince their voters they care about the needs of people by fighting for the "unborn". And they convince their voters they care about the country and constitution by fighting for the 2nd Amendment. It's really only those two issues that has millions of Americans voting R, either outright because of abortion or guns; or to mask the fact that all they really want is their tax cut.

Where was George Bush this time? Where was right to life?

http://cbs11tv.com/topstories/local_story_348124802.html

What the story doesn't tell is she was (unlike Terry Schiavo) was conscious and responsive when the ventilator was turned off.

http://dailykos.com/tag/Tirhas%20Habtegiris

"Baylor Regional Medical Center, gave her family 10 days notice and then pulled the respirator themselves. They pulled it, without asking her, while Tirhas was still conscious and perfectly aware that she was being deliberately suffocated. They pulled it while her family was there to watch the process, even though the family disagreed with decision. Tirhas suffocated consciously and knowingly for about 15 minutes."

http://shotofpolitics.blogspot.com/2005/12/if-you-dont-have-money-in-this-country.html

Why no Republican intervention?
1) She wasn't white.
2) She had no insurance.
3) She was an immigrant, legal, but an immigrant.
Don't think it doesn't happen? I saw one patient denied the cath lab on Christmas eve because he had no insurance.

Where profits kill people is where I become enraged.

15 minutes to die. Fifteen minutes to slowly suffocate. Tookie Williams had a more merciful death. Someone justify that to me.

Where were all the media warriors that carried signs for Terry? Where was Frist? Where was Dobson? Where was Robertson? Where was Bush?

Fifteen minutes to choke like a lynching.

Fifteen minutes of choking to death sounds like a lynching

24. That's right
They're such hypocrites - sure - protect the unborn fetus, until the time it's born, and then abandon them just like the rest of us. If only they stopped at abandonment, but oh NO, they go out of their way to make life MISERABLE for those of us who are no longer unborn fetuses. Assholes.

31. Well after one is born, it's one's responsibility to pull oneself up by
one's bootstraps! Or something like that. :eyes: Anyway, the good life is only for the well connected or republicans. Everyone else can go pound sand.

If they were pro-life, they would not start wars for oil, and they'd actually give a damn when a city drowns.

The legislature would care about school funding and medicaid rather than trying, once again, to ban abortion.
