Can anyone think of any example (even somewhat similar) in which President Clinton was criticized and Repugs could have stepped up like Rangel but didn't?
I'm thinking the Jesse Helms threat might qualify, but I can't remember if the Repub's leadership condemned that statement.
I'm trying to counter someone on another board.
Thanks.

1. Rangel is talking about a "foreign" entity. Helms, crazy but not foreign. |

Recall too that the repukes were out and out accusing Clinton of wagging the dog over Afghanistan when he bombed it chiming in with Arab leaders who were outraged.

But given that the UN is the UN, not Rangel's country, I don't even care that he is a Democrat. The statement he made is so childish, I can't believe he's a representative. This country's leaders criticize other country's leaders.
As to calling * the devil, Americans do not need to go out of their way to prove themselves to be such babies they cannot even deal with a metaphor or with flowery speech. Foreigners do not speak like Americans, so there is no point in throwing a temper tantrum.
