1. The one thing
I'll say for the Republicans is that when they're vulnerable they go on the offence. It's a smart tactic. So instead of the question being "Did the president break the law with unauthorized wiretaps?" it has become "Is unauthorized wiretapping justified to protect americans?" That's unadulterated and brilliant manipulation of public debate (yes with lots of help from a compliant media.)

3. It's offensive alright....
It's offensive that there is a sitting President
who blatantly and arrogantly BREAKS THE LAW.

Crooks like this need to be behind bars.

4. Still we need to keep hammering him reletelessly.
His "Please don't impeach me tour" should be responded to quickly, and forcefully.

6. Why do they refuse to beat Rove at his own game...disappointing!
Rove plays a helluva game, we know about the use of their use of the media to further their causes and the list goes on -- I can't believe you just don't fight fire with fire especially with all the scandal that's going on in Washington -- maybe Trump should give them a hand?

9. I have heard a lot of High ranking Dems fighting back. It's
just difficult for the Minority party to get air time.

5. If he gets away with this, guess whose fault that is?
It isn't surprising that Rove has his puppets in the press lining up behind him -- anxious to help him make the case that violating both the spirit and the letter of the law is just fine and dandy. That's standard Rove.

What I hope goes differently this time is that I hope Democrats scream back at the top of their longs that what Bush did was an impeachable crime ... and that the only reason possible for Bush to ignore the FISA law is because his spying had NOTHING to do with terrorism, but was instead all about domestic politics.

We should adamantly accuse Bush of spying on people for purely political purposes. Not only is that (I'm sure) the truth, but it is the perfect counter-argument to what Rove is planning to get away with, which is to turn the issue on its head and make a slezy crime look like a presidential virtue.

Our elected Democrats OUGHT to fight back against Rove's spin every time a camera or reporter is within two feet. And they should never, for one second, do what they are already doing -- mumblingly agree that "spying for safety" is understandable, even if it is against the GD law!

As for us, it's LTTEs and calls and protests. IOW, we're going to have to do for ourselves and our country what our elected leaders and selected journalists will not do -- HOLD BUSH ACCOUNTABLE!!

7. It's not legal because he says it is-- He is not the law-it can be
qualified as nothing more than his own opinion or covering his own ass.

Same with cheney. They both can scream that it is necessary. No problem with that. But there are laws in place.
