Will the Time photos become another CBS "memogate?" |
Ever since that incident, I've been wary of seeing any new documents or photos come out that hurt Bush. If they've been in possession of the White House for a certain period, how can we be certain that the originals weren't destroyed, or that forged copies of them were made (with a detail or two changed to make the photos look doctored.) I strongly believe that Rove or Barlett (then-White House Communications Director, who didn't even tell CBS that anything was wrong with the documents AFTER he reviewed after!) were involved in the forgeries. I believe the statement of Col. Killian's secretary when she said similar documents existed of the forged ones. How do we know that the Time photos aren't another Rovian trick?

4. I'm sure that ol' Buckhead or PowerLine will be prepared |
They're just itching for another fifteen minutes of fame. Remember during the Terri Schiavo controvsery, when a GOP worker circulated a memo describing how her tragedy could be used to politics? Powerline, hoping to duplicate their luck, said that the memo was fake, thankfully it didn't catch on again, or else the GOP would have been able to legitimize their belief in government control of medical incidents.
