Let's face it...after signing so many Petitions about "ABC 9/11 DocuCrap" |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-22-06 07:11 PM by KoKo01
and reading three letters from Clinton's Lawyers who were SUPPOSED to be going after these Propagandists that many of us DEMS HERE are feeling pretty demoralized right now.
What happened to all those Petitions? "True Majority, Move On. org, DNC and the Rest." Big movement for us all to sign them and we did in the hundred thousands....WHERE DID IT GO?
Clinton is spending his week all over the airwaves and yet his BIG TIME LAWYERS who in their LAST letter said DEFAMATION...have FAILED to FILE A LAW SUIT!
What did they do with our names and addresses and zip codes? Don't they GET that in these BUSHOFASCIST TIMES so many put their Life on the Line signing a Petition truthfully! Then...what do they do with this?
WHERE IS ACCOUNTABILITY? We SIGN PETITIONS...WHERE DO THEY GO? WHAT GOOD DO THEY DO?

1. Undoubtedly a lawsuit would have been futile considering the |
|
disclaimer provided during the movie. Alas.

5. IOWD's the Polling on the Movie drove the lack of Moral Principle about |
|
it's Lies. A simple disclaimer that only ran in American (according to DU'ers who saw it overseas in Austrailia and elsewhere) made a Defamation Lawsuit impossible.
It was good they riled us all up with "HOPE" though, wasn't it.. :sarcasm:

4. I think they went to Disney World. |
|
First they were given a warning ride on the Tower of Terror and scared silly in the Haunted Mansion. Next they were zoomed through Magic Mountain for an attitude adjustment. Then came a cruise in Small World to get their smiles. And finally, they got their Mouska Ears personally embroidered with their new name: "Petition? What Petition?"

6. ",,,,,Put their life on the line?" |

Whoa, I can appreciate your emotions but lets not get hysterical. Noone is risking their life by signing a petition to ABC. (On the other hand maybe you are right. I can see it now: The ABC executives deliver the petitions in the dead of night to the White House. Bushie and Cheney personally pour thru the lists saying '...we've got the motherfuckers now'. The secret 'Carpenters' unit set up to go after all ABC petition signers is unleashed. What goes down in history as the 'ABC Petion Saturday Night Massacre' takes place. Death, carnage, fascism. Yep, you could be right.)

It's a good way to make people believe they made a difference when in fact it did not...yet with there confidence that it did do something, they then don't take the real actions needed to get whatever they want done.

and so does forum shopping. I would sue the BBC instead of ABC. Much better libel laws and no disclaimer was provided.
