Top Five Reasons not to vote GOP?
If a conservative voter came up to you in the street -- the kind of guy who has GOP bumper stickers, and who still boasts of voting for the Chimp in '00 and '04 -- and asked you for five reasons why he shouldn't vote GOP across the board in '06, what would you tell him? I'm assembling a list of the most popular arguments for an editorial.

1. America has fallen behind in the advancement of science and eduction
2. Katrina could happen to anyone in America....
3. Only the rich are benefitting from * Tax cuts...
4. The middle class is being destroyed...
5. It is clear the * admin wants to attack Iran....will the Repug be willing to sacrifice his/her daughter to a draft?

I would say racism and bias has increased in this country (against minorities, women, gays, anyone that speaks out against this government) but if you are talking to a Repug they are probably white and think they are being persecuted so nevermind.......just saying....

4. Lemme give it a shot...
Because he makes a mockery of Christianity, which is a love-based religion. His stance on torture, his lies to get us into a war, and his general hypocrisy make this case, as does his repeated sacrificing of the poor and the minorities in order to fatten the white and the wealthy.

Because he is an destructive force tearing at the fabric of God's creation with his weakening of environmental protections.

Because he is a reckless spendthrift, the exact opposite of a true conservative, busily thowing away our grandchildren's inheritance on one long binge on a credit-card economy.

Because he and his minions are evil magicians, capable of making black look like white, evil look like good, and corruption look like purity. Chavez was right--Bush is Satan.

Because Bush is overseeing the destruction of the nation--giving away our wealth to foreign owners, surrendering port security to untrustworthy private foreign companies, failing to put needed money into infrastructure, and replacing the American dream with feelings of despair and hopelessness by allowing wealth to become ever more concentrated in the hands of a ruling few.

(These things just started pouring out as I wrote. I'm really not a conventionally religious person & don't know where some of this came from.)
