This is what compromise looks like, (graphic/pic heavy/conscience laden)
This is what compromise looks like.

A teenaged Iraqi detainee being used for someone's "jollies"

Fix'em up for more abuse, torture, humiliation & cruel and degrading treatment!

These pictures represent just a small part of what is known from one American run prison.
What of the torture we don't know about?
What of the torture going on right now while you're reading this post? What of the torture that will continue?

This is what compromise looks like.
This is what compromise looks like.
This is what compromise looks like.

It can't be said enough.

This is what compromise looks like.

6. If this is what America needs to be safe (torture), then America isn't
worth defending. Such an America has gone beyond the realm of the decent.

Lofy ideas and grand notions of freedom, liberty and justice mean nothing to a country that can condone torture.

We can't be a beacon of hope and the bringers of torture.

46. It breaks my heart to feel that way
I don't believe in America anymore.

I know how bad that sounds. I still believe in the ideas behind America but the reality that is America has alienated me. I want to believe. I want...I need...to believe America can change

I'm ashamed to admit that I still have hope. I feel like a fool for having hope.

I hate feeling like a fool.

Oh damn, now I'm crying

Why is their torture so full of homo-eroticism and sexual abuse? These republicans are real perverts. You don't show the videos of little boys and girls being raped and screaming. There is even worse sexual torture than your pictures show. Bunch of sick, sick neocons.

Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 12:49 PM by Solly Mack
But then that's the point...there's more.....there's worse

Rape and other forms of sexual assault are considered a war tactic ( and a war crime - but that changes under the detainee compromise - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2204354&mesg_id=2204466)...a war tactic because such acts are meant to break the victim through degradation and humiliation. That's the why.

And how sick is that?

There are articles on line addressing it...and there's one in my journal as well.

This country is a disgrace to humanity and no matter how we try to distance our personal selves from being associated with such horrific acts, all of that blood is on our hands, also.

Remaining silent does not wash it away!

Every Kossack needs to start organizing DKos delegations to their senator's offices now. I'm in the San Francisco area, so you can just respond to this message if you want to visit Feinstein's and Boxer's offices. I'll also put 50 comments out for each state so you can connect that way.

53. Damn, now I want to call my senators
I just have to find the info on who is voting for this, if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

This is not acceptable, these pics are only a glimpse into what would happen if this bill is passed. Just only imagine this being American citizens that are being tortured, what if it was you or me, what if it was your sister, brother, or even your mother, what if it was your neighbor, your friend. Would you accept torture then.

This isn't something that has to be "compromised" there is no compromise in torture. None at all.

The pic of the teenage girl really stands out at me, I can't imagine that happening to my oldest niece Alionah. I can't, it hurts me too much to even think of that and this is what Congress is going to vote on?!

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO AMERICA?
