Fox Switches Headlines on Clinton Video link
Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 05:41 PM by BurtWorm
FOX has changed the video caption to this:

It is now a "Strong Reaction". Fortunately Think Progress took a screenshot of the original title, which was "Clinton Gets Crazed":

I wonder why they decided to change it all the sudden?

Possibly Rupert had a call from Hillary?

PS: More likely Fox wants to make sure its audience includes all the people who'd be sickened by their original caption.

1. That first headline sounds like something from THE ONION
If THE ONION suddenly went viciously right-wing, that is.

Then again, I suppose all Fox headlines could be said to sound like that.

2. the pigmedia does this alot....
recently, they had a ctv newshour poll with a tele number onscreen to call: the question was 'did jack layton contribute to the 4 troop's deaths' by saying aloud the NDP's opposing the afghanistan mission/war?...but when the poll was posted on the ctv website, they changed it to 'do you agree with jack layton's opposition to the afganistan war?' which is a big difference....the problem is, noone seemed to notice the switch (i had made a post mentioning the insane gall of the ctv assholes to ask such a question when a DU'er checked the site and brought to attention the switched question)...they try in real time something they then doctor for the record....how can i prove that ctv had asked the question the way i read it on tv? Had 'thinkprogress' not screened the original in Big Dog's case, it would be long gone into memory hole, and the pigs know that (depend on it in fact)...bush supporters are so dense to collaborate in their own deluding, which affects everybody who trust the pigmedia....

3. I say hit them where it hurts - below their belt in the advertisers.
Inform their advertisers that the nifty little poll they had on their website this morning had a serious flaw.

The country is split close to 50/50. Their poll this morning was something like 93% in favor of thinking Clinton had made a mistake and 7% thinking Clinton did not make a mistake. I would take that as a clear indication that while they may be reaching the republican consumers, they are missing 43% or more of the nation's consumers when they support Fox. The bottom line is that when they advertise on Fox, they're losing money.

4. Bill Clinton is emerging
as a shadow president. His profile is high and climbing, his positives are huge, his credibility is enormous. Faux fears him, and rightly so.

9. Faux and Wallace has given Clinton a big profile on the issue
and I think that's a good thing.

He's still one of our best not-afraid-to-fight-back Dems, imho.

It's L-a-d-e-n, you losers. No wonder you support bush.

10. Because Clinton's response and Fox's reaction is galvanizing us.
That's why they changed it, I bet. We've all been waiting for Clinton, or Gore, or Kerry to go on the defensive so we could stand behind them, and what better opponent than Fox?

I guess Fox realized that their partisan hack title galvanized us more than it galvanized their conservative audience.

11. That was some lousy grammar.
Not unexpected from such a tabloid-type, but still.
