Holy Fuck. Freeper Animosity Is Everywhere! Check This Out.
I was going through my emails and opened a few from a 'Flavorwave Oven' forum I subscribed to a while back. Every now and then some good new recipes will come in my inbox, but most often the discussions are completely irrelevant to me and I delete them. But there was one today I didn't expect. It was one from a moderator of the site saying a poster was banned, and why. I guess the poster was some freeper who went off because of someone's email siggy. I couldn't believe it. This is some obscure completely non-political Flavorwave message board with almost zero activity for god's sake! Guess angry freepers are everywhere! Here's some of the text from the emails. WTF???:

------------------------------------------------------
RE: Colin Mooney's (moonunit451@yahoo.com) post
I have removed Colin Mooney's name from the list, and banned him from
joining again. Not because of his political beliefs, but because of the
offensive language, and the offensive way he presented his message.

He was referring to the following that was a signature message at the
bottom of Jesse Flores' post:

"Republicans, when you took your oaths of office, you placed your hands
on
the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. You did not place your
hands on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible."
- Jamie Raskin, professor of law at American University-

I was about to ask Jesse Flores to remove the signature message, from
any future postings in this group, when I saw Mr. Mooney's response.

I ask each and every one of you to remember to turn off your e-mail's
signature message when posting in this group. You can see what the
result can be, when someone thinks it is the actual post message.

Offensive language will not be tolerated in this group. Signature
messages that are off topic, will receive a warning. Falure to turn the
signature message off, upon request by one of the moderators, will also
result in removing your name from the list and banning you from
membership....Al McDonnell (list owner and moderator)
-----------------------------------------------------
This was the offending reply post:

Jesse,

You post it, I say screw you and your angry
misguided commie shit. Why don't you all GTFO and
quit trying to destroy this country and corrupt our
innocent youth with your filth. Go find someplace
that your moronic theories have worked. ------ Oh,
almost forgot, they have NEVER WORKED ANYWHERE,
silly me. But history be damned, you can not be
educated, unfortunately, those who can may be too
late to turn this country around, although, and I
know it's unbelievable to you jag offs, YOU ARE
LOSING LOSERS

We are at War, with you lamo's as well as a more
aggressive enemy. I'm not a fundamentalist
Christian, just a guy with a brain (regardless of
what you idiot elitists think). A lot of good
innocent people are going to die, and will die at
the hands of our mortal enemies. Our civilization
will probably be destroyed, leaving those who are
left to struggle for their lives do to the crap your
type has perpetrated over the last 50 years. You,
and jamie make me sick.

----------------------------------------------------
This is the post that set him off:
Diana,

I live in a 1941 Bungalow with original wiring and have the Flavor Wave
Deluxe Oven which is rated at 120V/60Hz/1200W and I have never had a problem
even with other appliances on (microwave).

I wouldn't run the W/D, Micro & Flavorwave all at once but I would think
that you are OK...

Good Luck and I LOVE IT !

Jesse

8. They are just as offensive here
Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 09:45 PM by MissWaverly
they come here and post something and if you disagree then they attack you personally, why,
you dumb, stupid, b*****h, and go on from there, I see this offensive behavior tolerated
time and time again here. I don't believe in attacking the person, ideas yes, people, no.
These people usually travel in packs and once they identify a "victim." They attack every
time that person posts on a thread.

10. That's when I block them
As soon as somebody gets personal, I hit "ignore."

I've only had to do that to 3 people in 5 years. May two of them rest in peace.

15. I Call Them Pirahnas. Alone They Are Nothing. They Only Have Any Value
when they are in larger numbers. I know of them well. But truly they are worthless and so insecure as human beings that the only way they can feel self worth is by taking a bite out of others. I truly feel sad for them.

16. They are all over the place here...
I sincerely pity the moderators of lefty sites

I prefer the ones that engage the name-calling..easy to root out and boot out...

Its the ones using somewhat more subtle propaganda that are really awful. I specially notice the ones who are anti-environment. You'll see them quoting some bullshit "scientist" or author and trot some tired pack of crap about global warming, factory farming etc.
And unless its an issue you have been closely following yourself, even genuine liberals won't notice their crap. Yesterday I saw someone cite Bjorn Lomborg (:puke: :puke:) in the environment energy forum.

(Lomborg is the equivalent on environmental issues of a Limbaugh or a Hannity, except more sophisticated :puke:)

23. yes, and if you disagree, they act like you were born brainless
People say why don't you just press ignore, I battle it out because I am afraid. I am
afraid that after Bush, someone else will be in there who will be another "strong man"
who will do just what Bush does now. So I don't know if PNAC is abandoning Bush because
they realize that what they wanted was not a good idea or if they just want another
strong man to replace him. AND I don't want DU to become a megaphone for the next
strong man.

26. If they are on ignore, you can't alert moderators
And they come here feed off of genuine disagreements genuine liberals have with each other.

I mean obviously with 90,000 people here you will have people with slightly different interpretations of what being liberal is.
Some people are more right-wing on one issue than another and so on...
Its when personal acrimony seeps in that its bad. I mean I think all the genuine liberals here are well-intentioned...people have different views on things. But if someone seems genuinely well-intentioned, why be rude or sarcastic, just because you disagree. I hate to see people who are overall so much on the same team fight.

But these trolls feed off of that...what a pointless endeavor :eyes:

I wonder what they think they are getting out of it...

31. they are trying to change DU into a Troll dominated thread
I have seen them do that with other sites, the first thing they will do when somebody
posts something about Clinton and Fox News is that they will start calling him obscene
names. They do not articulate, they smear. Just like Jimmy Carter has been smeared. He
is what many fundies dream of in a president. A religious man, ethical, honest, he did a
lot of good for this country but when the smear was over, he was discredited. They
are trying to do the same thing with Clinton. All the howling about Hugo Chavez and the
Devil language. Who started that but the Right Wing and their name calling of Tom Daschle.
Their Axis of Evil and all that bashing will come back to haunt this Country.

correct?

You said majority of Americans. Not majority of congress. Please try to remember what you're talking about.

We are the minority in Congress... ...for now. But from the perspective of Americans it is we that are in the majority of thinking on almost every issue. Your reply made no sense.

ONE word Totally Wrong (word choice that is, not spelling) after they've spelled all the rest correctly?

Most of 'em, I know, can't spell too well at all, so you don't expect much, but the Upscale models can spell, yet have trouble with word selection, to wit:

"you can not be educated...Our civilization will probably be destroyed, leaving those who are left to struggle for their lives do (sic) to the crap your type has perpetrated over the last 50 years."

DUE, you moronic asshole Colin, DUE, not DO. So, WHO Can not be educated? Duh.
This after he got Losers and Losing right. I guess it's from close acquaintance with both losers and losing.

but I think we should do more to identify these people and mass with their minds, like yelling "Bush Lied!" or "Jesus says Love your Neighbor, even if he is Gay, or Muslim, or just different!" or any other slogans or sayings. The fact that this guy went insane over a sig, it could be great sport, and enjoyable to boot!
