Could Clinton's smackdown of Wallace be a sign of things to come? |
|
Clinton was great in the way he handled Wallace. Wallace looked embarrassed and weak, and Clinton fit a lot of information and direction into his response. I'm sure many people are going to read Richard Clarke's book. Could this be a strategic step on the part of the Democrats to combat the right-wing hate machine? I hope so. Clinton did a great a job, and if people like him, Kerry, and Gore, continue to fight back the way they have, the Democratic message will get out.

1. I certainly hope so. Though I don't think Wallace came off that badly. |
|
He came off as smug and skeptical, which is the best they could have hoped for in that situation, when someone actually calls them on their propagandist nature. That interview would not have swayed any wingnuts but hopefully would sway some middle of the road types

12. Clearly, the reichbots would watch that and fail to comprehend how |
|
... badly they were being misled. They'd cheer at every smirk and smug remark that Chris Wallace made. The facts can't get in the way of "faith-based" sociopaths.

3. Clinton fights back. That's why Republicans hate him. |
|
It drives them crazy that Clinton actually hits back hard when he is attacked. And yes, sometimes he does play a little dirty if he has to to do it. Hillary is the same way. Say what you like about Hillary--she's not my choice for the nomination in 2008--but she will hit back her critics real hard. Like Karl Rove type of hard.

4. Wallace was embarrassed and unnerved... |
|
Did anyone see him in the following roundtable discussion-- desperately seeking some acknowledgement that he (Wallace) had "held his own." Juan Williams sort of half-heartedly reassured him, finally.

The stupid cons on my forum are accusing President Clinton of being drunk. When you have no intelligent messages, nothing constructive that the republicans have done, are doing and probably will do, I suppose all they little droppings have left is to smear and slur.

8. How the fugg could a little sprat |
|
like Wallace stand up to Clinton. He was out of his fugging depth and put in his place the way a teacher destroys arrogant 9th grade school boys. Clinton took charge and sent his ass accross the room. After demolishing him, Clinton left him for the school nurse to rescue. What's more Fox knew the value of today's ratings and hung him out to dry with editing.
Clinton showed all Dems how to deal with uninformed schoolboy gangs. It was a command performance.

Clinton is a winner -- a strong, successful candidate. There's lot the rest of them can learn from him.

10. Only when it keeps happening |
|
And it's part of a chorus.
We seem too eager to give ourselves hope at every little ray of light. But how many of these instances have we had where a Democrt finally stood up for himself? And hw many times did these turn out ot be isolated incidents?
A storm is more then a single drop of rain. I wil wait and see.

He would have campaigned for us more last time if he had not had surgery. Hopefully, HE'S BACK!!!!
I think the Republicans have made a HUGE, DEADLY mistake by airing PT911. Clinton has been fairly quite since his term ended. Now they have awoke the sleeping giant.
