OBL is of no use to Bush or Karl Rove dead. They have a deal with OBL that goes back to the Friday before the election in 04.

OBL is of no use to Bush or Karl Rove dead. The republicans have perfected mass manufacturing of terrists and if you don't believe me, just read the story at this link: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/24/washington/25terrorcnd.html?hp&ex=1159156800&en=2b04aade4ece2412&ei=5094&partner=homepageThis front page NY Times story tells how their policies have made terrorism an even larger problem than it was to begin with. Now they have a terrist in every corner and for every purpose! They'll never run out of terr and fear. Cher

and I already read the article. One way or another, they're going to keep generating demand for weapons of war be it with or without OBL.
Seems like we're playing this guessing game every two years now.

16. I think you are assuming that this was to be the October surprise |
|
I disagree.
It's looking more to me like it's some kind of action in Iran.
So spread this far and wide:
Although she may become one several years down the road, Iran is not now an immdiate threat and there is no reason to take any military action against Iran at this time. Such action would be unwise for many reasons. Our enemies, demagogues like Osama bin Laden, will use this action to incite the Arab common people against the US. Once Iran is attacked, it will need to be occupied. The occupation of Iraq has already stretched our military too thin. That in itself would have consequences more devastating than any imagined consequence of withdrawing from Iraq. If we cannot handle the occupation of Iraq, what would make anybody think we could handle the occupation of a nation two and half times larger, both in geographical space and population? And, while a system of government where a council of twelve stuffy old men get to decide who is a good enough Muslim to run for public office is by no means a democracy, there is in Iran's political structure some sense that the people are governed by those who have their consent to govern. It isn't the brutal tyranny of Saddam's Iraq; there is even less reason to believe that US troops will be welcomed as liberators in Iran than there was in Iraq.
Sorry that can't be fit into a thirty-second spot or a ten-second sound bite, but I've seldom heard a rational argument put in a thirty-second spot and never in a ten-second sound bite.
Killing your television is the beginning of reason.
