How do I respond to this RW crap? The second one she has sent today!
What is the purpose of this BS and when was it first written?

IN PERSPECTIVE
WOW..is this laying it on the line or what?

The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster
and Associates in Atlanta. She's been in business since 1980
doing interior design and home planning....... Read it!

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it
not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on
September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not
brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the
Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a
horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was
"desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it
or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and
repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East
start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of
which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry
for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through
his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come
out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion
by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in
search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range
of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their
First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from
international law instead of the United States Constitution's
Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine
roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this:
I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners
who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing
incident, rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he
is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you
can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a
prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax
dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being
"mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of
hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled
"Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn
and ---- you guessed it - - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your
e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people
responsible for this ridiculous behavior! If you don't agree,
then by all means hit the delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain
when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen
here in our great country.

I am not deleting this, I am sending it on, but only after I add:
--"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they
made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have
that problem." -- Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND...I hope
you forward this such as I have.

"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then
we will be a nation gone under." also by... Ronald Reagan

Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 06:36 PM by Mad_Dem_X
Every time I get an email like that, I go to Snopes. If it turns out to be a bunch of bunk (which it usually does), I send the link back to the person who sent me the original crap. Sometimes I do a "respond to all" so that everyone can read it. That usually shuts them up right quick.

Edit for spelling

Does the sender consider herself Christian?

What I read is the definition of "Un-American" in my book, at the very least.

11. Today, my husband asked me about Ollie North and Osama
One of his e-friends had emailed him with a question "Did you know about this" It was that old, old story about Oliver North testifying in front of congress, and Al Gore asks him about a security system he has put in his home. According to ledgend, it was because of Osama bin Laden. I gave him the link to Snopes.com and proved the story wrong.

I asked him to forward the email to me so that I can blast the real story to all of the contacts that this was sent to.

This is what we have to do. Thank goodness most of these people do not know how to copy and paste, so you have a wealth of contacts to educate.

28. My husband got that same Ollie North-Gore email yesterday
from a member of his Senior Center Computer Club. He explained to the guy how to check out urban legends and sent him the correct info. (The person questioning North was NOT Gore, something that Ollie North himself has stated.)

My husband's response went out to all of the people on the list. One woman wrote back within seconds and said she thought my husband was too hard on the sender. She had not had time to read the info rebutting the charge. My husband just wrote this woman off as hopeless. The guy who sent the email replied and said that sending it was an "accident."

get my email address off your list immediately. i will be reporting you to the better business bureau so that other potential customers are aware of the fact that you care more about soliciting for right-wing extremists rather than for interior designing. in the future be aware that good business does not mean shoving your politics down customer's throats!

send it back. call her and complain. AND REPORT TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

if you receive any more email from her, report it to uce.gov as unsolicited commercial email.

The advice about not mixing politics with your business is good. Only a moran would take the chance of alienating half their customer base on purpose.

...that you will be happy to repond to her, after she sends you something that has actually been written by her, and in her own words, describing what she is feeling about the issues at hand.

Then point her to the snopes page that debunks it.

21. They have a habit of mixing facts with fiction
They say we were attacked on 911. We are dealing with terrorism and then spew a few more facts right before they say that this is why were fighting in Iraq. Weave facts to other facts and then throw the bomb in there to make it seem as if it were just a logical step to attack the wrong country. These people are experts at propaganda, and they weave truth with fiction expertly. You job is to seperate the facts and the fiction and let them know this is just a typical propaganda technique .

27. I can't help but wonder--if it was "Christians" doing the attack,
would this opinion be different?

I wonder if she thinks it should be OK for the Bible to be desecrated because Tim McVeigh was supposedly a Christian.

"I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights"? Who is dumb enough to think that??

"In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care." Oh, so if the tables are turned and YOU get tortured for information, then I guess you won't care then either?

I cannot even tell you how angry it gets me when these idiots compare the treatment of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib to "a college-hazing incident." That is wrong in SO many ways that every time I try to explain why, I don't even know where to begin!

And to me there's just nothing worse than a person who revels in their own ignorance and lack of concern about anything.

This kind of crap is custom-designed to foment religious hatred. Pure and simple.

Really sickens me.

To look at the Abu Gharib photos is to glimpse into Hell -- all laws gone, all restraint gone, all morality gone, all caring and compassion...utterly and completely gone.
