What if They gave a War and Nobody Came? |
|
I would like to say
Wars based upon beliefs are, and have always been, wars based upon basically nothing. They have caused only death and destruction, and have never helped those who fought for mistaken ideas. For centuries this has been the case.
Sometimes, people learn. Sometimes, they don't.
What if they gave a war and nobody came?

1. I have to sleep soon, and hopefully |
|
not dream of war, and disabled veterans, and children being carried in their arms by their parent who survived while they didn't.
Don't go to war. War hurts.
Pain is real and lasting.

4. What if 'We The People' actually took responsibility for the government |
|
... that is of, by, and for us? What if We actually took responsibility for when, where, and against whom we did or didn't declare war? What if we actually participated in this thing we call 'democracy'? Then, perhaps, instead of blaming others for OUR failures to take control over our own governance, we actually didn't have to ask such silly questions.
