Bush tells abortion foes, 'We will prevail'
SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- President Bush told abortion opponents Monday that they are pursuing "a noble cause" and making a real difference in the campaign to recruit more Americans to stand on their side.

"We're working to persuade more of our fellow Americans of the rightness of our cause," the president told abortion foes gathered at the foot of Capitol Hill on a chilly, rainy day. He spoke by telephone from Manhattan, Kansas, where he was to give a speech.

"This is a cause that appeals to the conscience of our citizens and is rooted in America's deepest principle," the president said. "And history tells us that with such a cause we will prevail."

19. Indeed. The Republican Party (read: neo-cons) have sold
.

Indeed. The Republican Party (read: neo-cons) have sold their souls to religion-into-law:

right-to-die-with-dignity a la Terri Schiavo;
anti-choice anti-abortion stance;
anti-stem cell research;
anti-distribution of condoms across America and across the entire planet even if AIDS is at issue;
anti-GLBTs (everything anti-GLBTs' including families w/ children);
anti-mainstream SCOTUS re Thomas, Scalia, Roberts, Alito;
pro-federal taxpayers monies to religions via so-called "faith based initiatives; and
anti-science in favor of religious "Creationism" or "Divine Intelligence;"
and whatever the hell else involves NO Separation of Church and State:

.
This is not the party nor the position that any modern country should impose upon others. Instead, these politics and policies can only injure millions of people, all for power - the Agenda of Neo-Cons!
.

12. Not even if he bought me dinner.
Surely one of the office wives would be up for it in my stead.

5. He neglected to say that overturning RvW won't stop abortions.
Just make them more costly and infinitely more dangerous.

morality voters vote against their interests and support your corrupt party.

10. Elections have consequences
Anyone who was paying attention knew that Bush would nominate some anti-choice justice. This wasn't rocket science.

So to all those pro-choice Repugs out there who bought into his compassionate conservative moderate BS - fuck you.

You asked for it. You got it. Bend over.

He was NEVER a moderate. Ever.
