I should have left the TV on Mr. Roger's but no I had to watch the news |
|
After getting the coffee started this morning I went out into the LR and turned on the TV. Since we had been watching PBS Mr. Roger's Neighborhood was on but noooo I had to flip the channels and run across a morning news show. "Oh cool, news" I thought to myself (we just recently found out that we get more channels then just PBS in that area of the house then where the TV had been).
At first it wasn't too bad... I got to watch Clinton's smack down of Wallace and hear the report about how the war in Iraq has increased the problem of terrorism (DUH!) but then... the anger started to build with first McCain spouting a quick the BS line about Iraq/September 11th/terrorism (wish I could remember the exact words) I left the room for a minute or so and came back to.... an interview with O'LIELLY about his new book!
Now please understand that I have never actually watched this shill in action before and after just a few minutes my husband came in to see what I was yelling and swearing at (I'm not normally this way at all). After a few seconds of listening to O'Lielly he calmly went over, turned the TV off, told me to sit down and take some deep breathes too get my Blood pressure under control and said... "you should have left it on Mr. Roger's, at least the make believe world he created is a pleasant one."
I just have one question... how the heck can any semi-intelligent, semi-educated human being with more then just two brain cells to rub together believe the absolute crap McCain, O'Lielly and this whole neo-FundieCon admin spout? It is so far out there it's obvious BS.
Well, at least now I know which TV channel to avoid. :puke: I think I'll play with the antennae a bit more and see if we can get the Canadian channels in better. At least I might get some real news and if I'm lucky maybe The Red Green Show is still on. :D

1. The people who watch O'Reily don't have a brain |
|
That is where they get the few audible words they can utter and it is impossible to carry on coherent conversations with them.
I had the same problem, my wife records CBS Sunday morning and Meet the Press every Sunday and watches it later. She was watching the first part of Meet the Press when torture man McCain was on. She asked if I wanted to watch what he said. I told here no, I would just get angry anyway.

feel angry which leads me to being furious with the Right WingNUTs who created not only this situation but also so many very angry and disgusted Americans and fellow citizens of Mother Earth.
