We were attacked before Iraq, so Iraq doesn't cause attacks. |
|
"Some have suggested that by liberating Iraq from Saddam Hussein, we simply stirred up a hornet's nest. They overlook a fundamental fact: We were not in Iraq on September 11th, 2001, and the terrorists hit us anyway" -- Dick Cheney, January 2006
That sounds EXACTLY like people who explain their continuing to smoke by saying:
"They say smoking causes lung cancer. Well, I know someone that died of lung cancer that never smoked. Therefore smoking doesn't cause lung cancer."
Let's say someone's wife leaves him because he drinks, but he didn't cheat on her. If he stops drinking and gets married again, he can cheat on her and she won't leave him (in his mind) because his first wife didn't leave him for cheating!
Maybe. Probably not the best analogy.
Post your own ideas on how we can use "Cheneyan logic" in our daily lives.

1. I have an overweight friend who hates chocolate. |
|
Therefore we can all eat chocolate all day without gaining weight.
If I ever run for office, that's gonna be my platform. :P

2. We were a monarchy before we became a democracy |

So we don't need no stinkin' logic, we can just listen to the Royal Dick.

... terrorists never hijacked planes to attack the US. Therefore, if dubya was never selected, 9/11 would never have happened.

6. Now McCain is repeating that talking point |
|
Heard him say thing on the news this morning.
Here's my idea:
I got bit by a mosquito before I walked upon this standing water. It doesn't mean that standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitos.

8. Mosquitos don't make a good example to determine human behavior. |
|
Human behavior is far less predictable than the breeding habits of a mosquito, even though mosquitos do represent Republicans well being blood suckers.
This one is more apt: We had a process that worked before Bush came into office, therefore, Bush's ABC policy (Anything But Clinton) is responsible for making us vulnerable to attack by Al Qaeda on 9/11.

Cheney is just another head on the Standard Oil hydra, renamed 1000 times, but still the standard oil global grab via many agents for the central asian reserves, and like the national socialists before them, are willing to wage full spectrum dominance operations against all who threaten their oil empire. That islamic people happen to live on top of this drug addiction, like in other areas of resource colonialism, corrupts weak states, and has kept corrupted states with not a shred of econoimc activity except the will to let them pump.
So, there is our meritocratic globalizm for you, lazy men war, lazier men let those men war for them whilst lounging a lifetime on oil welfare, and poor people die, iraqi people die, murdered by your planned aggression, dick.
