Feeney Creates Curtis Smearsite! CommonCause Says Emergency Paper Ballots!
Several fresh (and even scandalous!) Clint Curtis / Tom Feeney related stories today, along with a statement from Common Cause joining us (and now others such as VotersUnite.org and VelvetRevolution.us) in our call for Congress to immediately pass Emergency Paper Ballot legislationp before leaving for the election recess! -- Brad

FEENEY WATCH: 'Corrupt' Congressman's Campaign Creates 'Crazy Clint Curtis' Smear Website!

Rudimentary Site 'Paid for by Tom Feeney' Offers Extraordinary Claims, Smears, Doctored Photos of Congressional Opponent, Vote-Rigging Whistleblower, But No Evidence to Back Up Claims

Smear Blogsite Included Gives No Indication if it's Paid for by Feeney or Not (In Violation of FEC Rules?)

The campaign of one of Congress' most corrupt members, Tom Feeney (R-FL), has apparently enlisted fifth graders to create a smear website (www.CrazyClintCurtis.com) dedicated to smearing Feeney's congressional opponenet Clint Curtis with doctored photos, innuendo and unsubstantiated, disproven claims.

The rudimentary site (okay, it's not created by fifth graders, it just looks, works and act that way) includes doctored photos and videos of Curtis, and includes a smear blogsite to go with it. There is no indication who is paid to run the blog, however. If it's created and/or run by a paid member of Curtis' campaign staff, it would seem to be in violation of FEC campaign laws, as it would require a "Paid for by Tom Feeney" notation somewhere on the blog...

Florida Paper Rips Tom Feeney in New Cover Story on Vote-Rigging Whistleblower Clint Curtis!

Computer Programmer-Turned-Congressional Challenger's Accusations Reported in Detail, Including New Points in the Mysterious Death of Case Investigator Raymond Lemme

Feeney's Camp Refuses to Answer Allegations or Take Lie Detector Test, But Manages to Smear Curtis Anyway…

Bill Stone of the Tampa Bay Scene writes a devasting and detailed cover story in this week's issues on the allegations of computer programmer Clint Curtis that Congressman Tom Feeney (R-FL) asked him to create vote-rigging software when they both worked for the same firm in Oviedo, Florida back in 2000.

Common Cause Says Measure for Emergency Paper Ballots this November Would be 'Ideal'
Blog Statement by V.P. Barbara Burt Refers to our 'LET AMERICA VOTE ACT' Legislation as 'The LEAVE NO VOTER BEHIND Act'

Contact Congress (Who We Hear May be About to Act!) Now!

Barbara Burt, the Vice-President and Director of Election Reform at the non-partisan Common Cause has posted a statement this morning on the organization's blog in support of the 'LET AMERICA VOTE ACT' (Emergency Paper Ballot legislation) that we proposed last week as an emergency measure that Congress could pass in their few legislative days left before the election recess...

1. Does Curtis have a chance?
Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 06:54 PM by The Backlash Cometh
Feeney is very powerful, and unless Rush Limbaugh is supporting Curtis, it ain't going to happen because the fools in his district listen to nothing else.

(Except for that cool couple at Lowe's I saw this weekend driving that convertible with the "Impeach Bush" sticker.)

3. His campaign says they do!

I'm told that their internal polling is very good. Haven't seen it myself, so I don't know.

But at this time, the DCCC is giving them no money at all! (Like so many other Dem candidates across the country) so it's really up to the citizens to support him.

Feeney, of course, has big time money (more than $1.1 million so far) from the top tier DeLay/Ney/Abramoff funders (and indeed, those guys themselves!) along wiht all of the huge pharamaceutical, insurance, banking, telecom PACS etc.

5. I admire him.
But these people would vote for the devil if he ran as a Republican.

2. I spent about 30 minutes talking to Clint Curtis
Shortly after he filed, at a candidate forum.

He sounded like a perfectly reasonable, sane man to me. Nice guy, and a political novice. I gave him all the advice I could in that time, and he seemed to appreciate it.

And I can tell you he sure didn't look anything like that picture.

6. What?!

...But I thought he was "crazy"?

Could it be that Feeney (for a change) is not telling the truth?! I'm shocked. Shocked!
