Could This Effort Actually Assist The Fillibustering Of Alito?
(My apologies if anyone else has said this before.)

I was reading the 5-4 Supreme Court ruling today about states not being exempt from the Bankrupcy law. Once again it was politcally split 5-4 with O'Conner casting the tie breaker. Had it have been Alito the precedent would be the reverse outcome.

Than an idea struck me. What if we compiled a list with short summary of ALL of the 5-4 votes split down the middle that went towards the left, in the past 5 or 10 years? One master list, all 5-4 partisan votes, with a short and quick summary of each to reallllllly drill home the point that EVERY SINGLE ONE of those decisions or laws would've had the REVERSE outcome if we put Alito on the court.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to find these rulings but wish I could. But is anyone here at DU up for compiling a list like that? Would it be helpful for our Senators to really see exactly what current precedents would've ceased to exist if Alito had been on the court instead of O'Conner?
