Abramoff's father to George Clooney: You made Jack's daughter cry!
The father of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff says George Clooney's off-color joke about his son's name during the Golden Globe Awards made the lobbyist's 12-year-old daughter cry.

In a letter to Clooney posted Friday on the Web site of The Desert Sun newspaper in Palm Springs, Frank Abramoff said he was astonished by the actor's "glib and ridiculous attack" during Monday's televised program.

"Your words were deeply hurtful to many innocent and decent people," Abramoff wrote. "One day the truth about my son will come out and there will be a lot of people in your industry and others lined up to apologize for their efforts to destroy him and our family."

He said the lobbyist's daughter, who was watching the show, was in "a fit of tears" after hearing Clooney's remarks.

"Are you proud of that?" Abramoff wrote. "Shame on you."

34. I see your tactics spread across all the discussions, don't they? for
someone who apparently just joined us today, you have managed to be rather obstreperous.

and PLEASE learn the difference between "your" your ( P ) Pronunciation Key (yr, yôr, yr; yr when unstressed)
adj. The possessive form of you.
Used as a modifier before a noun: your boots; your accomplishments.
A person's; one's: The light switch is on your right.
Informal. Used with little or no sense of possession to indicate a type familiar to the listener: your basic three-story frame house.

and "you're" you're ( P ) Pronunciation Key (yr; yr when unstressed)

Contraction of "you are"

No sympathy from me. This is war -- a moral war.

Thousands of children have lost their fathers and mothers thanks to the dogmatic support her daddy has given the bushie crime family.

War is hell -- and collateral damage happens. (edit -- her feelings were damaged/hurt)

..."Dear Frank:

Your son's continuing criminal enterprise directly led to the coronation of King George, who was directly lethal to many innocent and decent Iraqis. One day the truth about "dim son" will come out and there will be a lot of people in your party and others lined up to apologize for their efforts to destroy our family and our nation.

Now go fuck yourself."

21. They read the letter on AAR
and I was in tears too. Laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.

His son is a con man of the highest order, and quite obviously took great vocal pleasure in the fact that he conned thousands of people to line his pockets. Boo hoo hoo, dad. Did you think your son was going to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his acts of selflessness??

26. Curious Thing For Jack's Father To Say - " One Day The Truth....
about my son will come out and there will be a lot of people in your industry and others lined up to apologize for their efforts to destroy him and our family."

What do you think he's talking about? What does he know? Could Abramoff be a double agent? Could Abramoff be working on the inside to bring down *Co?

It seems like an odd thing for the father to say - given all we've heard about Jack and how he operates.

I know usually a parent will stick up for their kid no matter what he/she does. But to come out with a statement like "One day the truth about my son will come out and there will be a lot of people in your industry and others lined up to apologize for their efforts to destroy him and our family" - seems curiously odd.

I think someone should lean on the father to find out what he meant.

Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 11:51 PM by Solly Mack
Your father is a crook and the object of ridicule and scorn. His name and face plastered all over papers and TV's - his crimes far reaching.

And I am sorry she is having to go through this...but Granddaddy needs to get a grip and remember who did this to his granddaughter - it was his son who did this - the girl's own father did this to her. No one else.
