How many are like me, frustrated that the closest election is still so |

far away, and that even while things are falling apart so badly for shrubco, they still have all the power and we still have no concrete reversal of any part of shrubco yet?
We have the agonizing wait for midterms while waiting for whatever new scam they intend to pull on the voters, or maybe they don't need any gimmicks, since the big "scam" is at the polling stations now...
I feel like I'm just going to be restless until something concrete for the good happens, a successful filibuster, taking back one or both houses of Congress, DeLay convictions, SOMETHING.
Even the Hackett/Schmidt race was a "missed it by that much" moment, and the nasty troll still won.
Know what I mean?

Bwahahahahaha! It's right around the corner. There is SO MUCH to be done between now and then! Are you ready to work? NOW is the time in the election cycle when we WORK. Hold a precinct meeting. Get ready for primaries. Come do some blockwalks. Register some voters. Time to rock and roll.

And then another 2 1/2 months after that until the new Congress sits.
A LOT can happen in 1 Year. A LOT can happen in 1 Day. It's too far.

3. The best thing to do is make people aware of the voting machines. |
|
The margin of victory is meaningless when the elections are fraudulent. The results can be anything. Probably what will determine the elections is access by Repubs or those wanting to rig the vote to the voting machines in key states.
Each state is probably different, but the key point is obvious: the machines are being used to rig elections and couting votes on machines programmed and maintained by highly partisan private corporations which have pledged to bring victory to one side, aided by elections officials who are either on the take or also highly partisan, means that we to all intents and purposes don't have a democracy anymore.
This is just common sense. That has to become a mantra of EVERYBODY who wants to get Bush and his ilk out of Washington and in prison where they belong. We have to have paper ballots. If machines are used, there has to be a paper ballot print-out and REQUIRED AUDITS FOR ALL ELECTIONS USING THESE MACHINES.
