BushCo is fearless . . . they know they can't be stopped . . .
they know they control everything, and that there's not a damned thing anyone can do about it . . . they KNOW it! . . .

thus the shrub's blatant admissions about domestic spying -- and his complete insulation from real people and from reality . . .

thus the plan to attack Iran . . .

thus the phoney 9-11 commission, and the general acceptance by the public of their fictitious report . . .

thus the media reporting positively about everything Bush does while accusing the Democrats of being bin Laden stooges . . .

thus their absolute confidence that they will retain both the Congress and the presidency -- because they know they will . . .

thus their ruination of the planet in so many ways . . .

thus the abandonment of a major American city -- and a big chunk of the US coast -- following a natural disaster . . .

thus the torture, and the rendition, and the provisions of Patriot Act II, including a Gestapo-like police force . . .

thus the violations of US law, of international law, and of the Geneva conventions -- with no fear of reprisal . . .

thus the indiscriminate bombing of Iraqi cities and the taking of innocent Iraqi lives by the thousands -- with no fear of reprisal . . .

thus the use of inhumane and illegal weapons of mass destruction (such as depleted uranium) and of horrific individual destruction (such as white phorphorus) -- with no fear of reprisal . . .

thus the looting of the US treasury and the US taxpayers by private interests, and budget deficits designed to bankrupt the government so we won't be able afford ANY social programs . . .

thus the price gouging by the oil and gas companies, and the near compete lack of corporate regulation of any kind -- fiscal, environmental, social, political, job safety, etc. . . .

thus a vice president who continues to be compensated annually by a favored corporate behemoth who has been awarded no-bid contract after no-bid contract after no-bid contract . . .

thus the expenditure of billions upon billions upon billions of dollars on Iraqi reconstruction -- with nothing to show for it (wonder where the money went) . . .

thus the complete lack of concern for active duty military, returning veterans, or the families of casualties . . .

this list could to on for several more pages, but you get the idea . . .

and since they have absolutely no fear of any consequences whatsoever, they're free to do whatever they wish . . . and mostly that means things that enhance their near complete power, enrich their bank accounts (and those of their friends) at our expense, and drive the general populace further and further into financial, social, and political despair . . .

well, they may have no fear -- but that doesn't mean there's nothing to be afraid of . . . what they're exhibiting is hubris, and we all know what that gets you in the long run . . . but we can't wait for the long run -- and nothing will change unless the nation rises up and says "Enough!" -- and does something about it . . .

this means calling BushCo on ALL of their illegal and immoral acts and other misdeeds, from 9-11 to stolen elections to everything else . . . and telling the truth -- about everything! -- unfortunately, no one has yet been willing to do that (although Al Gore is getting close) . . .

time is most assuredly running out . . . BushCo is consolidating their power and their complete control, and if they're not stopped -- and soon -- it will simply be too late . . .

it's time for someone of substance to step up and tell the truth -- the whole, ugly, nasty, almost unbelievable truth -- about everything . . . and for us, the people, to support that person with every resource we can muster -- our money, our time, our expertise, our energy, our passion . . . but most of all our determination to reclaim our country -- from BushCo, from the corporations, from PNAC, from the New World Order . . . to take back our government and completely restructure it in the service of the people . . . corporations will again be relegated to what they really are -- societal tools meant to help people, not exploit them . . . and they will be forced to act accordingly -- or else . . .

who that person will be I do not know . . . what I do know is that we need a wise, honest, intelligent, informed, and charismatic individual to serve as our focal point -- because that's how movements generally work . . . someone with an impeccable reputation who is willing to stand up and tell the truth -- in true service to his/her nation . . .

the crisis is upon us, and it's real, and it's immediate . . . I assume we all know that . . . I pray that a leader will soon emerge who can guide us out of the darkness and back into some measure of enlightenment . . . that someone, somewhere, will grow a real set of balls (or the female equivilant) . . . if that doesn't happen -- if we don't have someone to rally around as a real populist, committed to making the government serve the people -- I fear that we are doomed . . . as individuals, as a people, as a nation and, most especially, as a planet . . .

(end of rant . . . thank you for listening) . . .

3. Rant

A really good rant and reflective of what many of us feel, I would just add one thing "THEY THINK THEY CANNOT BE STOPPED." Course, they've done a lot of damage with their beliefs, however we don't have to believe it too. They think they cannot be stopped because we've given them the idea they cannot be stopped. But they can and they will be eventually

4. Just a nit -- sociopathy is not fearlessness
They display little else but fear.

It is their defining trait.

5. Great post
You said exactly how I have been feeling for sometime now, in a very excellent post. Thank you for letting me know I am not alone in the fear I feel for our country. I like John Edwards so much. If only someone of integrity would come forward and speak the truth, so many would follow!

Thanks again.

6. If someone of substance stands up and tells the truth,
will anyone hear them? The Corporate Media is busy praising Bush's every move and has recently taken to comparing Bush's opposition to bin Laden.

7. Bush/Rove recent scandals don't look good - Rove isn't totally out of the
woods -- and MUST start creating smoke and mirrors before heavy duty shit hits the proverbial fan.
Thats why Rove came out of the woodwork -- Bush announced Rove was overseeing the rebuilding efforts from Katrina yet it seems rove has nothing to report on progress as Bushco's Washington's scandal probs continue to grow.

You can take that to the Bank -- Fitzgerald investigating conspiracy in Plamegate -- no, Rove is greatly needed by Bush, moreso then ever before!
