7. This idiot keeps going back to BEFORE the FISA court.
It doesn't really matter what happened in the civil war and WWII. We have a FISA court now, and Bush broke the law.

17. If we follow his argument to its logical conclusion....
Then the President, by the "use of force resolution" by Congress, can suspend habeus corpus and declare martial law, if he thinks it necessary, not just the FISA laws.

23. Have nagging questions
Gonzales has been B*sh's personal attorney and then was WH counsel before becoming Attorney General. I understood that, as WH counsel, he sometimes had to find ways to justify what the administration wanted to do. He served the oval office much like an attorney serves a client.

However, now that he's attorney general, I see him acting the same way and it confuses me. Who does he work for? Is he part of the Judicial branch or part of the Executive Branch? Should he now be providing the same kind of tailored opinions that he did when he was WH counsel? Is it his job to protect the WH and provide cover for their actions? Should he be showing up on MTP as part of the administration's PR push for their illegal program?
