Learning from Goebbels and Goering |
|
A large majority of people cannot believe America will go the same way as Germany in the 1930s. How far are we off this? The quotes below are chilling.....
Goebbels offered, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." And Goering observed, "The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders...tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."

Only it's being done slowly, and instead of using one particular group of people as scapegoats, like the Germans used the Jews, Bush and his enablers are using "terrorists" as the catalyst.
The Patriot Act is nothing more then the 21st Century version of the Enabling Act, along with Alito, it will provide Bush with complete power over the lives of the American people, and they have only themselves to blame.
America is becoming the New Nazi Empire, it's just taking a little more time to do it right.

slowly but surely Bliar is getting the OK to move through legislation. The London underground bombings gave Bliar the green light to move.

9. Nazism also moved slowly. He didn't just scapegoat Jews. |
|
He also targeted homosexuals, gypsies and slavs. Something people don't talk about as much are the atrocities he did to captive Russian and Polish soldiers and civilians who got in the way of his blitzkrieg. They suffered unbelievable tortures like the Jews did.

4. More than three quarters of the way there.... |
|
the upcoming elections will really tell a lot.... (whether they are rigged or not) and whether the chimp actually leaves office or not. In the meantime... I expect the abuse of power to escalate as the Pukes get desperate... and greedy.
All in all, we're just an executive order away from DU internment camps.... and there isn't a thing anyone can do about it...(or is there?)

5. Canada's new conservative government will align with U.S. Fascism |
|
I just commented that DUers who decry labeling the U.S. as Fascist, need to review the reality of the NSA monitoring MILLIONS of citizens, with warrantless wire taps. The general, in charge of the NSA, just said that the Fourth Amendment does not require "probable cause" but only requires "reasonable suspicion" to monitor Americans telephones, emails and correspondance and financial records. The radio programm replaying the general's comments then read the 4th Amendments text, prooving the PROBABLE CAUSE legal requirement and that a judges warrant is required...both legal steps the NSA chief lied about on record!!! It's now time to learn to say ZEIGE HEIL, in American, at least to recognize them when they salute. Maybe the subject of a new thread?

8. I think there are many countries in Europe that will 'fall' to the Neocons |
|
S and C America at least have gone the other way for now. No doubt the US will be looking to do some more coups and 'rent-a-dictator' stunts. I wonder will they impose another Shah in Iran.

6. Leo Strauss, the godfather of the Neocon movement, learned well |
|
All of this comes down to one word: lying. But for Strauss, these lies are necessary for the smooth function of society and triumph of one's own nation in war. Hence for Strauss, the lie becomes "noble." This phrase Strauss borrows and distorts from Plato who meant by a "noble lie" a myth or parable that conveyed an underlying truth about morality or nature. But in Strauss's hands the "noble lie" becomes a way of deceiving the herd. Strauss's "noble lies are far from "noble." They are intended to "dupe the multitude and secure power for a special elite"
Weapons of mass destruction? A necessary lie to advance PNAC
and there was nothing nobel about that lie....
Goering - Strauss - Neocon - PNAC - ?

7. Isn't it strange that very few people mention Strauss |
|
It is refreshing to 'talk' to people here at DU who know. I had a similar converstion with a neighbor the other day and she looked at me as though I had two heads!

10. U.S. nobility indures. Lie to delay resistance, pardon crime as needed. |
|
The U.S. arisocracy avoids compliance with ANY and ALL legal stritures and ethics are talored to fit business models and property rights. Inheritance considerations guide the congress and the family wealth. It may not all be bad, but it has resulted in an aristocratic government model.

I think fear propels people to believe something word for word. Even now we hear the same old stuff on 9/11 -
