LIMBAUGH ASKS "WHY CAN'T WE BOMB THEIR MOSQUES?" |
|
He actually asked this question on the last hour of his program today.
This upset me so much. He wouldn't ask this unless he thought it was a legitimate question. And it's just wrong on so many levels.
I would expect that he, as the mouthpiece for people who claim to be religious, would understand why not. But clearly he doesn't understand, so I'll explain it to him.
When the world is going haywire, as surely it is in Iraq right now, people need their faith to make sense of what seems hopelessly screwed up. Christians, Jews, and yes, Muslims need this. Take this away from them by making their houses of worship a target, and you truly have created a war on Islam. You have inflamed the Muslim world. And you have reached the point of no return as a society. May we never reach such a low point.
I would expect people of faith (I'm talking about the Pat Robertsons of the world) to understand this. They should call Limbaugh out on this, as publicly as possible, to affirm their standing as men of faith. But they won't. So I'm doing it here on DU.
When will this madness end?

1. The whole idea is to bomb the Middle East off the map |
|
And now they can.
With impunity.
And the more "Christian" they are, the more they want to get rid of Muslims. I live with these people and talk to them. They are evil.

3. I really liked your "reply" to Limbaugh. Maybe you should put |
|
this in an "open letter to Rush Limbaugh" and send it off to your local newspaper for consideration in the editorial column. Worth a shot anyway - more people need to know how repulsive he is.

5. You know what I heard him say this week? It was almost comedic: |
|
He was ranting about New Orleans, saying that the victims were the products of a "liberal welfare state" and that they'd been "waiting for the government to solve their problem" instead of driving off in that nice vehicle they didn't own. He closes with, "and I'm sick of people saying we conservatives are cruel and we don't care!"
Now here's the cherry on top:
He went immediately into a commercial for his "Club Gitmo" swag.

6. Hehe. If they do start bombing mosques |
|
they better be prepared for secondary explosions from the bomb making materials stored inside.

11. Would you then be OK with bombing churches too? |
|
Or is it only OK to slaughter brown people? Enjoy your stay.

Lumping a whole group of people for collective punishment because of the actions of a few is funny.
I guess that means we can lump all repukes together as pedophiles because of the actions of your elected officials.

8. I think he is the unofficial spokesman for Cheney's shadow |
|
government and probably is floating this one before it is implemented.
Nope, no tin hat. I just keep noticing the similarities between what the two of them say. Crusade? Holy war? Oil grab? Does it matter?
