Did you know? Woodward's book "Plan Of Attack" was |
|
being hawked on the GOP website, or the wh website. So says CNN and John Roberts and David Gergen. I'm just betting his newest book isn't embraced. And who believes Rummy never read it?

1. Do you think Woodward suckered them in |
|
by publishing two books favorable to the * Regime to get the dirt for the bomb that he just set off?

4. I didn't read it, so that's good to hear. I guess when I heard of |
|
his complicity in the Plame deal, I lost a lot of respect.

10. He certainly has connections, and I have yet to hear one pundit |
|
discount his book, one most haven't even seen yet. Thanks. I now have a big smile on my face. Finally, this admin might have the 'perfect storm' coming at them, one that won't leak off the teflon. Woodward coupled with Abramoff and Foley, and primarily Iraq, should do the trick, I pray.

young officer in Naval Intelligence who ran assignments to the Nixon White House, when he became acquainted with an older man who had also been in the Navy. The older man was then in tthe FBI. It is known that one way Hoover held so much power was by having "shared staff" with various intelligence agencies; this was particularly true of the military intelliegence agencies.
The older gentleman was the one who suggested Woodward pursue a career in journalism. That was curious, because the older fellow held most journalists in utter contempt, and Woodward had no background or skills in journalism.
The two continued their relationship for several years. The older man was Mark Felt.

"Bush at War" was cheerleading. But "Plan of Attack" showed a significant amount of fracturing going on in the administration, with a president who was not fully in charge.

about Woodward earlier today .... I do not like him, but I think this book can be very useful for democrats. I'll see if I can find the thread .....
In it, I mention the curious role he has played in a number of strange events over the decades.

8. I'm beginning to wonder about that. I'll form a better opinion |

about that after the 60 mins interview. I want to see if he appears as doe-eyed and naive as he has appeared previously.

14. Funny you should say that. Several people I spoke to today had that |
|
same idea. That he may have played the Trojan horse, knowing full well that he would need their confidence in order to get the real scoop. Hmm. It certainly is a thought. And he certainly had me fooled.
