Dontattackiran.org Protesting ship deployment to Iran Sunday
In the past few days an action called Stop the War on Iran
Before It Starts has developed, based on the news that ships
are leaving from Norfolk within the next week with the
capability of mining the harbors in Iran. Here are the
particulars:

WHAT: Demonstration against war with Iran
WHY: The USS Ike and battle group leaves 10/3.
WHERE: We will demonstrate near Gate 5, naval station. Park at the pass Office on Hampton Blvd
TIME: noon
DATE: 10/1/06 Sunday

Mike Kafka, a spokesman at the headquarters of the Second Fleet, based in Norfolk, Virginia, the Eisenhower Strike Group, bristling with Tomahawk cruise missiles, has received orders to depart the United States in a little over a week. Other official sources in the public affairs office of the Navy Department at the Pentagon confirm that this powerful armada is scheduled to arrive off the coast of Iran on or around October 21.

3. AfterDowningStreet.org has an Iran newsfeed (RSS)
