His numbers won't go up again. He's a failure and Americans have closed their minds to him. You can feel it.

1. I think after those two miserable days as we watched the Congress
sell out America to a tin dictator, then the past couple of days of sweet, sweet revenge, that's it's a wash for Bush and Company.

They are in such deep shit.

2. Bush has lost the trust of the "middle" 20%.
Once you've lost someone's trust, it is extremly difficult to gain it back.

The Democratic base (40%) does not trust him either. That means that 60% of the country does not trust him.

3. I tend to agree with you...
Now with the NIE getting out, and the Woodward book all over the news, Abramhoff starting to heat up again the news is turning against him and his party. The Foley scandal is like icing on the cake - he's a pedophile AND he's gay - the very group they've been demonizing for so long! Personally, I'm a bit upset about the gay part because it'll whip up the RWnuts, but it leaves the Republicultists in DC between a rock and a hard place.
