Are you a true patriot?

I have been mad as hell for a long time....a very long time. I never approved of this president and the GOP Congress. I saw it as a huge mistake committed by the American people from day one. I consider myself a true patriot. I believe that our Bill of Rights and our Constitution is the ultimate definition of a true democracy and true freedom.

If it comes to it, would you pick up a gun, leave your family and fight for the true ideals that this great nation was founded on? I've thought about it many a time, if I had lived in the 1770's, right here in Northern NJ,where so many patriots came from, I would have...I would have picked up a gun, joined my fellow patriots, kissed my family good bye and gone to fight for what I believed to be right. God forbid it comes to that again....I would. We are so close to the definition of tyrany under the GOP leadereship, that I truly hope it does not come to that...

I would completely alienate almost all of my family, plus my husband's family, in doing so. I don't think I could kill a person, but I would lend my talents in other ways.
I've been waiting for the Revolution for years. When the hell is it going to happen-I figured it would come out of the Northeast and California...but I've been disappointed so far. Trying to foment revolution in Oklahoma is a complete lost cause.

more interested in leaving the country. When the masses figure out what went down it will not be a pretty site. I've had it with stupid people more concerned about taking gay rights away then protecting their own. I've spent most of my life fighting for the rights of women. My policy has always been I will defend the Constitution. Anyone infringing on my Constitution is a traitor. We are way past that line being crossed.

I am an American by choice. Trust me, this is the one of the best places on Earth. I grew up on three different continents, six countries and had visited 60 other countries by age 17. I saw the world at an early age and decided that America was it. There are some great places to visit all over the orld, but wwhen you take everything into account, there's no place like the Good Old USA.

I am not prone to the glorification of war, nor to sentimentality.

I will not go out of my way to encite violence. I will avoid violence. But I will also not be silent. I will not be cowed. I will defend the Constitution. That is all we have. That is what makes America, America, despite the criteria of the majority (Christian, God-fearing, capitalist, white, etc., etc., ad nauseum).

A year ago I watched on HBO Woppie Goldberg and how she said that everything that we thought was safe was being taken away from us! there were about 5 skits I thought she was crazy only because she referred to it the song from STING ..I'll be Watching You, she said just start humming the song .NOW THEY ARE .........the whole show was about our lost freedom..I enjoyed it but I thought this will never happen well it has w/this ass idiot that we call (stolen election..could never have been elected on his own had to get Diebold to help and Supreme Court) the PRES or KING little boy geo.

6. I've been a bit sketched...

that I've been being spied on. Now, before you all think I'm nuts, my cell and house phones will click incessantly, depending on to whom I'm speaking. If I'm talking to my husband, it doesn't happen. But I have several good friends that I talk to every once in a while in Los Angeles, and the clicking is insane when I speak with them. I am a historian of Native Americans and of Latin America, typically two extremely unfriendly subjects to the US and its history, policies, etc. I've gotten odd late night phone calls, from blocked numbers and nobody is there when I pick up. I get completely harassed when I go through airport security (I'm as white as they get, for god's sake)-my husband is whisked through security, but my shit is dumped all over the place, I'm patted down and all the while he's got stuff in his bag he shouldn't fly with (a screwdriver once, a knife a few times prior to our marriage). My husband has had difficulties getting in and out of the country since we married last year, but never had these problems before. So who knows. But I have no doubt, NOT A ONE, that they are watching and checking us out.
