Potential 2006 Election Nightmare Scenario
The opposition is dropping like flies.
A Dem takeover of the lower and upper houses is well within reach. In fact, if you account for the bias that the loaded RW polls are showing, the Dems appear to have a pretty strong hand this Nov.
I think it's worthwhile to consider what the Cons have at risk...it's a beautiful thought.
Does anyone believe that the election will be clean?
Although there will be lots of oversight observation there will be irregularities. Given the mood of the country, I'm not sure that if the irregularities appear blatant, the result of the election will be unaccepted by half the country. Think Mexico.
Now imagine that some terrorist incident occurs, or some crisis is initiated against Iran. There would be a risk that Bush would initiate a military response. If he does, he will have done so with no clear and identifiable congress
He now has all the laws he needs to go after the groups that are most vocal about the concurrent election result turmoil.
Is this really that far outside the realm of possibility?

planned as we speak.....
I have a sad suspicious feeling that the next 6 weeks will have historic proportion events that will rock this country.....all at the hands of the * cabal......they will attempt to destroy this country before giving up power....

You don't make these laws unless you intend to use 'em.

3. I think they may assassinate * |

Or perhaps someone lower down, but high enough to impose martial law nationally. I thought this might happen in 2004, even. But now they have the New Sedition Act in place, so it's perfect.

I think the senior military will "stand down" and actually refuse orders to attack Iran. Not a coup, but basically a gesture that would force Bush to resign....
Cornered rats will do anything to avoid their ultimate fate...

7. Peter Pace has to give orders to.... |

to quite a few other Generals and officers...You can't attack Iran if you've got " a broken chain of command"...
Military officers are rather astute people for the most part. I think most of them GET IT by now...

we let them steal 2 presidential elections and rig unknown others probably accounting for the senate takeover and the fact that they didnt lose the house even with their miserable popularity.
we did nothing. i dont know if we have it in us to fight them. we will see. movements need leaders, ours have been absent.
