Mark Foley turning over a new leaf
Rep. Mark Foley of Florida was notorious for his sexual preferences, and a few of his colleagues feared that his affection for young boys would be his undoing. They finally persuaded Mr Foley to curb his appetite for young boys and planned an elaborate mediaeval feast to celebrate the occasion.

The guests were waited on hand and foot by congressional pages who stood behind each guest's chair. The festivities were proceeding beautifully until someone noticed that Mr Foley was missing, along with one of the pages.

The house was searched, and they finally found the five-term Republican Congressman disrobing in a bedroom while a naked page cowered beneath a sheet on the bed.

"Good lord, Mark. You promised that you were going to turn over a new leaf!" exclaimed one of his cronies, a Mr Hastert from Illinois.

"I certainly intend to turn over a new leaf," the GOP legislator replied, "just as soon as I get to the bottom of this page."

OK, OK, it was really Oscar Wilde, but it does seem to work in this case, doesn't it?
