It's not a "break with his allies". He left the party when he decided the rules only applied to him as long as he liked the results.
Fuck off, Joe.

He had everything ready to go Independent if he didn't win - he broke first or better yet, he cut and ran. Asshat. I hope he goes to his grave remembering what it was like to be a human being.

9. Of All of The People To Support Torture And Disembowel Habeas Corpus |
|
Of all people, a Jew should know how dangerous it is to legalize torture and eviscerate civil rights - most of us had many relatives killed when Germany did the same thing.
I'm reminded of the Jews that served as guards in the death camps.
Scum.

10. Of course, he shouldn't forget...... |
|
it will give him something to do some serious thinking about come January, while the Senate is in session and good ole Joe is in New England, warming his ass by the fire.
And forgiving? Who the hell cares? He's the one who filed to run against the Democratic Party. You want to talk about forgiving and forgetting Joe?

12. That's nice. I won't forgive him. |

There were reasons that one could vote for the IWR and still say that one was opposed to war against Iraq if the facts did not warrant it. But Lieberman supported the war and didn't care what the reason was. Just like any neoconservative.
One could even have said after the fact that one was deceived by the Bush regime's bogus intelligence. But it seems to make no difference to Senator Lieberman that everything we were told about the threat posed by Iraq was a lie. He's not bothered by it, and neither is any other neoconservative.
Anybody with any common sense would say that the neoconservative program in Iraq is an abysmal failure and that we either need to find a plan that works or leave. But Senator Lieberman stands by Mr. Bush and warns us not to criticize the Commander in Chief, for we do in a time of war "at our own peril".
I would submit to Senator Lieberman that those who support this regime are the one who imperil this nation. It's obvious he does not understand that because two days ago he voted to legalize what the Geneva Conventions prohibit, to suspend Habeas Corpus and to all but abolish the Fourth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments. Just like the rest of the neoconservatives.
Senator Lieberman, by his actions, has become a supporter of and accomplice to war crimes. Just like all the neoconservatives.
