It is unbelieveable that you would be proud to advertise that you have a pedophile attend your services. It is further appaling that you are proud to have such a person pose with little boys and advertise it on a church webpage. A church that claims to be from God.

I am a Christian and a Baptist and would NEVER use my church to promote politcs or a pedophile.

Foley's pose isn't suggestive of anything except a quick photo op.

Please note, folks, that Foley was interested in teenaged boys, not prepubescent children. There's a hell of a lot of psychological difference between a pedophile that molests children who have NOT reached puberty and someone who is attracted to sexually mature teens who are nearing the age of adult legal status. One does NOT imply the other.

Until very recently, adult men could marry girls as young as 13 or 14. Culture changes, as does "acceptable" behavior. What Foley did is illegal and sleazy, and currently unacceptable in our culture, but it's not as "unnatural" as some of the expressions of disgust imply.

for those who didn't see it: at the top of the pagfe it said "God and Country," and there was a big photo of Bush for them to worship...Scrolling down a bit was a picture of Foley with two young boys (his hand poised strangely near the toddler's crotch), with the caption,"Mark Foley takes some time to interact with our children"

20. Well, that's the first proof I've seen that Heritage Baptist Church ...

... "got the word." I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Pastor's office. I'd say the congregaion is undergoing some stress ... torn between trying to remember Foley's "Church Youth" activities and circling the wagons to "protect one of their own" (and that sure wouldn't be a teen-aged boy).
