If we change even ONE WORD of the Bill Of Rights, |
|
the terrorists have won. If ONE SENTENCE in the first ten amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America is rendered inoperative, the terrorists have won. If we give up ANY of our unalienable rights for a little more "security," the terrorists have won.
If we back away now from the Liberty that my Dad took two Japanese machine gun rounds on Saipan to preserve, the terrorists have won.
Which begs the question: just who are these "terrorists," anyhow? My money is on the Nest Of Snakes which currently heads our government--and the enablers in Congress who support them. I dare call this Treason.

1. the constitution cant be changed without amending it. |
|
all of the little lying tinpot laws and declarations they come up with are legally worthless.
why does anyone pretend they are anything more than the criminals they are. they took the country in a coup by subverting the electoral system and the supreme court, the retained and strengthened it by more electoral fraud and supression. they have broken innumerable laws both local and international. they are a rogue government and they control all 3 branches.

3. So, what do you suggest? |
|
They're doing an end-run around the Constitution - a popular urban legend even quotes The Devil as saying that the Constitution is "just a God-damned piece of paper."
We need to stack the House and the Senate with Democrats. Real Democrats.

2. Terrorist... such an interesting word.... |
|
I think we should think about what in-terror-gating really means. Innocent until proven guilty. Now, the justice system is thrown out. "Enemy combatants" can be anyone Bush calls an "enemy combatant". You will cease to exist. We need to make sure that we go to protest that someone will know to miss us. Reach out and know your neighbors, know your community, and pay attention... people are going to start disapearing faster now.

5. Democrats should pass the Bill of Rights all over again,... |
|
---- Talk about an eye-catching position statement. How many republicans would vote for the Bill of Rights, exactly as written, if it were up for passage today? (We already know how the neocons feel about it) I think it would be cool for some democrat to introduce a bill containing the original Bill of Rights,.... and upon whose vote, all other conflicting laws would be discredited. Would we vote for the Bill of Rights today?

Tyranny has come to America my fellow citizens but it was not born in 2000 but many years ago.

7. The terrorists won with passage of the already-written The USA Patriot Act |
|
and all who voted for passage thereof could be rightfully termed cowardly enemies of our constitutional rights IMNSHO.
