Do you believe the Republican's irrational obsession with sex leads to |
|
behavior such as Foley's. They seem to harp about sex most of the time in one form or another so it has to be on their minds a lot. They hear all the disgusting details and it gets their minds a whirring. I think they have a very unhealthy obsession which on it's own creates people like this...I guess if Clinton gave America the blow job then Republicans give us Pedophilia.

1. It's because they resist their natural impulses.... |

What if Foley could have admitted he preferred gay sex? Could he have satisfied his desires with consenting adults? what if Ken Mehlman could marry his partner? Would he perhaps be able to stop supporting the gay-bashing Republican Party?

2. absolutely - repressed sexuality |

can only lead to bad deviant behavior.
Ever wonder why republicans have such an appetite for torture?? Why republican congressmen and catholic priests fall for young boys? Why Bush desires bald men?

3. Human beings are obsessed with sex |
|
That's normal.
It seems to be about whether you direct those energies in a healthy and natural way, or suppress them until they become an illness.
The Repukes spend so much time talking about the sex they believe other people are having, it's no wonder they fall into temptation.

5. The Repukes don't get enough lovin' |

It's why they either have perverted sexual desires (see Mark Foley and the Republican family values page posted on several threads here) or the need to bomb the snot out of other countries.

That is the battle cry of the Republican Party and it shows why they go after children or other powerless people or nations..

7. Repression of natural interests seems to make the natural unhealthy |

My ol momma always told me to watch my back around those who seem overly critical of others' normal sex drives. Said those were the ones with serious problems and most likely to hurt the people least able to defend themselves.
She also said to square my shoulders and look people in the eye. Less likely to become a victim if you exude confidence and strength. Bad people are cowards and pick victims they think won't give them a fight.
I helped put away a would-be rapist. Never been a victim of sex violence.
Thanks, Mom. It was good advice.

I think that they join the Republican party because they are obsessed with sex, some sort of cognitive dissonence thing - a lot of Catholic priests seem to do the same thing (at least ere in Boston).

Problems with sex run across the political spectrum.
It's the willingness to deal in hypocricy and voter manipulation in this area that is biting Republicans in the ass this week.
