Does anyone think Woodward set 'em up by gaining their trust? |
|
or am I just being too generous and he's just a two-faced scumbag interested only in his own publicity/power/money?

Woodward is an opportunist. A money grabbing pig that withholds the truth until it can be profitable.

he sold popular writing. He wrote popular books. What he wrote was popular at the time. His new book is popular now.
It is just the times changing, Jimmy. :)

He has to be the center of attention, and will do anything, including sucking Cheney's shriveled appendage and saying nice things about the war criminals to be in the center of attention

Until he choked on it. That's as nice as I plan to be.
800-900 attacks on our forces a week. I'm watching Schieffer. He just showed a clip of Woodward's interview on 60 Minutes.
His Democrat is guess who? Biden!

I think the Watergate Woodward is in ascendence now. But the cushy WP pundit, icon, I-know-where-my-bread-is-buttered, love to mix with the power elite Woodward has been in control for the six years up to now. I guess the Rumsfeldesque answer would be--Is he pissed off? Dunno. Was he sucking up to power in his previous two books? Probably. Has he done a reality check? Maybe. Should he be trusted? Most likely not. Should we use this to our advantage, though? Hell yes.

Last time (or maybe it was the first book), they talked about negative information about Bush being revealed. I was so excited, I went out and bought the book and upon reading found out it was a book singing Bush's praises.
Ain't gonna do that again.
