I am SICK of this STUPID, Obvious, Ignorant Republican Tactic. |
|
"He's so far left of his own party." - DeWine on NBC Meet the Press this morning.
This is such a moronic, obvious tactic, and yet we hear it all the damn time from these ignorant Repubs. It's old. It's overused. Everybody knows it's a ploy (except brainwashed freepers I suppose). The goal is to make it appear that the Democratic opponent is an evil, far-left (whatever that really means) liberal who is not in touch with even his or her own party they're so extreme. In other words it's a nice way of saying, "This guy's a complete wacko so vote for me."
It worked for Repubs in 2000 and 2004, but this year is just played. So played. And I think people are catching on.
I'm getting tired of it.

1. and, oddly, its used by the DLC to marginize us DUers as well...hmmmm |
|
There seems to be a concerted effort to paint us into "leftist fringe" corners.
now, why would that be?

Because most of the targets of this strategy can't be bothered to make an effective rebuttal.
How has Brown dealt with this?
"See! I'm not really to the left of my party! I voted for torture!"
It's a shame, since Brown has a pretty good track record of standing up for rational policy.
