Can someone ASK THESE QUESTIONS???
Everytime I hear the right talking about the issue of a date or timeline for leaving Iraq, they continually say the terrorists (and/or insurgents) will wait and hold back and attack after we leave.

WHO ARE THEY GOING TO ATTACK IF WE LEAVE??? Are we not the ones fighting them over there so we dont have to fight them here as we are told over and over again?

WHY WOULD THEY ATTACK THEMSELVES??? Why would the terrorists attack themselves after we leave. I thought we were their target. When we leave they are going to launch attacks on each other?? On the Iraqi people?

HOW MUCH WORSE CAN IT GET THEN IT ALREADY IS? There are thousands of people dying in Iraq per week RIGHT NOW. US forces have retreat to Baghdad and dug a "moat" around the city. There is a curfew in Baghdad this weekend.

The Republicans continually get away with this talking point about timetables and why we shouldnt have one. But this talking point can be dismissed WITH A FOLLOW UP QUESTION THAT NEVER COMES.

ASK THE DAMN FOLLOW UP QUESTION.

1. But, but, but, we are fighting them over there so we don't fight them here
Tomorrow, it will be they could attack us anytime.

2. This is going to follow us home
and for generations to come we'll be dealing with mad king georgie's* egotistical war.
Eventually, we will leave Iraq, eventually, the longer we're there the longer the memory trail and level of payback we accrue.
