Clinton did it too! Clinton did it too! Clinton did it too!
Brit Hume. A broken record if ever I heard one.

That's it that's all they've got regarding the Foley scandal. I've heard it repeated over and over and over again.

How will this tired old mantra about a former president help them get out of this when according to ABC news.

"senior staff members in the speaker's office first learned of the e-mail messages from Alexander's office in the fall of 2005..."

It's gonna be tough to blame Clinton for that. Though I'm sure Hume and Co. are doing their damnedest to figure out a way.

19. Maybe that is why his kid killed himself
His son was having an affair with that NY congressman Paxson who is now married to Molinari. Brit probably helped send his son on a guilt trip. Brit is scum.

8. I listened to Hume's rap on FNS and, surprisingly enough,
he failed to even mention that rather important point.

Hypocrisy and desperation. You can almost smell it.

Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 10:25 AM by charlyvi
At this point, they're only reinforcing how powerful Clinton was and still is in their minds; and the contrast between the mighty Clenis and shrub is not coming off too well. The blame Clinton bullshit is wearing thin--it is making them seem like little scaredy cats, bitter scaredy cats. Even the stupidest among us are staring to see how pathetic it is to blame someone who hasn't been in office for six years every time the current political power elite falls on it's ass. Besides, for the true Clinton haters in this country, pointing out that the GOP is no better doesn't seem like a very effective strategy to me. It's like saying, "We're as bad as Clinton!" Huh?

13. Yes, that's it exactly.
It's as though they've been "running" against Clinton, in almost full camaign mode, since he left office.

It must RANKLE them to distraction that Mr. Clinton was so popular and effective.
They just can't seem to get over him.

16. Are they unable to distinguish between a minor and an adult?
Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 10:46 AM by tabasco
There are all kinds of laws on the books that make it illegal to do things with a minor as opposed to with an adult.

ALL KINDS OF LAWS. WE EXPECT ALL CITIZENS AND EVERYONE ELSE UNDER JURISDICTION TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MINOR AND AN ADULT.

Is Brit Hume too stupid to recognize the difference or do they simply believe the base is too stupid?

25. Here it is! Send it to him everytime he repeats that STUPID
EXCUSE:

The Republican Party, apparently, can't tell the difference between consenting adult sex, and pedophilia. Well, that explains some things, right there. Maybe that's why they can't tell the difference between Iraq and Al Qaeda. Maybe that's why they can't tell the difference between a stem cell and a baby. Between valid science and religious propaganda. Between A surplus and a deficit. Maybe that's why they can't tell the difference between the constitution, and a roll of toilet paper."

"But let me say that again, very slowly: The Republican Party can't tell the difference between consenting adult sex, and pedophilia. To them, they are one and the same. So either they think that everyone who has sex outside of marriage ought to be sent to prison as a sex offender, or they think all the pedophiles should be let out of jail"

"And maybe that explains why they have this need to impose their own personal obsessions onto the rest of us. They can't be content with thinking the birth control pill or emergency contraception are morally wrong for themselves. They need to try to criminalize, ban, or restrict access to them for everyone else. They can't be content with personal opposition to abortion- they need to throw women in jail for making choices about their own bodies."

"Now, in case you missed the statement from my distinguished Republican colleague about Bill Clinton, let me repeat it one more time: The Republican Party sees absolutely no difference between consenting adult sex and child molestation."
